New Content in FFXIV Patch 6.3

In addition to a ton of new dungeon content and additional goodies, some already available stories, such as the Main Scenario quest from 6.2 (Buried Memory) and other side quests, will get story continuations that will expand them into new storylines. The following is a list of all the announced new story content in the FFXIV patch 6.3:

The next star of the show was the upcoming new dungeon, Lapis Manalis. Even though the devs didn't go into detail about the new dungeon, they gave us a glance at what it was going to look like. Players will get to explore a mountain and caverns that are coated with a glowing blue substance. And it is also going to be a 4-player Level 90 Dungeon with Trust support. Aside from the main new dungeon in the upcoming patch 6.3, it will be followed by a new Deep Dungeon called Eureka Orthos coming in patch 6.35. This will be a lengthy dungeon with unique rogue-like elements and will feature unique mechanics to make it exciting and unique to each individual player.

The next highlight of the show was the upcoming new Trials in patch 6.3. Even though not much was revealed about the trials this time, players can expect a Normal, Extreme, and Unreal Trial as always. However, it was revealed that the new Unreal Trial is set to be Sophia within Containment Bay P1T6. A new ultimate raid was also revealed, but it will be hitting the game later in patch 6.31.

The next announcement that stood out was the new content for Island Sanctuary. The recently introduced new location will get a bit more content to make it feel more alive, and these include New Visions, Additional Sanctuary Ranks, Additional craftable structures, New animals, New items, and New crops.

This is just the tip of the iceberg; more information about a ton of upcoming changes was also revealed. The highlights were the end of PvP Series 2, the new Crystalline Conflict season with a brand new Arena, new UI updates, expansion of housing areas, and job adjustments in PvE and PvP. While the recent broadcast was just a sneak peek at what is next for Final Fantasy XIV, another developers' stream will showcase the upcoming update in even more detail closer to its release.
