By Penny Mon Mar 16 2026 08:09:39 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time)

The latest Live Letter 91 for Final Fantasy XIV has revealed a large amount of information about the upcoming Patch 7.5 series, including new story content, raids, system changes, and the announcement of the new limited job, Beastmaster. Below is a complete breakdown of the most important announcements.

Patch 7.5 Release Timeline

Patch 7.5, titled "Trail to the Heavens," will arrive in multiple parts throughout 2026:

The final sub-patch is expected to include the next Ultimate raid, although details will not be revealed until Fan Festival.

Custom Warrior of Light Figurines

Yoshi-P also teased an experimental project that would allow players to create physical figurines of their own Warrior of Light. Players would upload a screenshot of their character to a website, and Square Enix could produce a 3D printed figure based on the pose and appearance. Pricing may vary depending on the character's race and complexity. More information about this service will be revealed at Fan Festival.

Main Story and New Battle Content

New Main Scenario Quest

Patch 7.5 continues the Dawntrail storyline, bringing multiple narrative threads together while also pushing the Warrior of Light's story toward a new direction. Preview images show:

New Dungeon: The Clyteum

A new MSQ dungeon called The Clyteum will be introduced. According to Yoshida, the dungeon may or may not directly connect to the next expansion, but will help lead the story toward it. Early screenshots suggest strong ties to Garlemald, giving players a new look at the region's history and atmosphere.

New Trial: Enuo

Patch 7.5 also introduces a new trial featuring Enuo, a powerful enemy originally appearing in Final Fantasy V as a superboss. The fight will be available in both Normal and Extreme difficulty modes.

New trials and raids usually require proper gear, consumables, and crafted items. If you're preparing for Patch 7.5 content and need extra currency, you can always buy FFXIV Gil safely at MmoGah to get ready for the upcoming battles.

New Unreal Trial

The next Unreal challenge will be Shinryu Unreal, bringing back the classic boss fight with modern difficulty scaling.

Alliance Raid: Echoes of Vana'diel Part 3

The Final Fantasy XI crossover alliance raid series continues with Echoes of Vana'diel - Windurst: the Third Walk. Players will travel to Windurst, a beloved city from Final Fantasy XI. Yoshida noted that the raid series has even inspired many players to revisit FFXI. The raid will feature iconic enemies and characters from the game, including Shantotto, along with a brand-new musical track.

Occult Crescent and Field Content Updates

The Occult Crescent exploration content will receive major updates. There will be a new area called North Horn. The new zone includes new monsters, critical encounters, FATEs, and additional lore. The Knowledge level cap will increase to Level 40, and new Phantom Jobs will be introduced.

New Forked Tower: Magic

A new 48-player Forked Tower will also be added with two difficulty modes:

Normal Mode

Extreme Mode

New Limited Job: Beastmaster

One of the biggest announcements was the addition of Beastmaster as the next limited job.

Key Features

Players will capture monsters in the wild by weakening them and attempting to tame them. Up to 50 beasts can be collected and recorded in a Bestiary.

Combat Mechanics

Beastmaster content will include a special challenge mode called Crucible of the Unbroken. This solo challenge will feature objectives, rewards, and potentially leaderboards for competitive players. The job will be released later in the 7.5x patch cycle, likely in 7.55 or 7.56.

Blue Mage Update Delayed

Yoshida confirmed that Blue Mage will not receive an update during the Dawntrail expansion. Development resources were focused on Beastmaster instead, though Blue Mage updates are planned for the future.

System and Quality-of-Life Updates

Major Glamour Improvements - Armoire Expansion

Players will now be able to store all Artifact Gear and all dungeon gear from the 7.x series. Older dungeon gear will gradually become storable as well.

Dye System Overhaul

A new consolidated dye system will reduce the number of dye items. Instead of dozens of individual dyes, players will obtain three base dye categories, each containing a full color palette when applied. Existing dyes will be exchangeable for the new system through a Calamity Salvager. This change aims to dramatically reduce inventory clutter.

Housing Improvements

Patch 7.5 introduces long-awaited housing changes.

Placement limits will increase significantly:

Later updates may also include:

PvP Updates

Patch 7.5 will launch PvP Series 11, bringing new battle pass-style rewards. A new Crystalline Conflict arena called Archeia Harmonias will also debut. The map features large bookshelves and obstacles in a library-themed environment, emphasizing line-of-sight strategy.

Other Content Updates

Fan Festival Teasers

Yoshida ended the presentation with a teaser confirming that a new job will be revealed at Fan Festival, though no details were shared yet. With FanFest only weeks away, more announcements about the future of Final Fantasy XIV—including the next expansion—are expected soon.
