FFXIV × Monster Hunter Wilds Crossover (October 2025) – Event Overview & Exclusive Rewards
Square Enix has officially revealed more details about the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter Wilds crossover event, set to launch in early October. Before that, Monster Hunter Wilds will first receive its FFXIV crossover in late September, but Warriors of Light can look forward to their turn soon after.
This special event brings a new trial, powerful rewards, and a nostalgic callback to the previous Rathalos collaboration—complete with limited healing mechanics and an Extreme version for hardcore hunters.
Face the Guardian Arkveld – The White Wraith
Players will take on Guardian Arkveld, Bane of Hunters, a formidable foe introduced in this crossover. The encounter is accessed through a mysterious mark bill titled “The Windward Wilds”, leading players and their trusty companions on a hunt for this otherworldly predator.
Requirements: Complete Dawntrail and reach Level 100 with an average item level of 725 for Normal Mode. If you’re not yet Level 100 or need help gearing up, you can check out our FFXIV Boost services to get ready for the event quickly.
Extreme Version: Item level 740 required. A much more punishing challenge, with exclusive rewards on offer.
Just like the earlier Rathalos trial, this fight will feature limited healing via Mega Potions, making coordination and survival skills essential.
Rewards Overview
The crossover isn’t just about the fight—there’s an impressive lineup of rewards spanning glamour, weapons, mounts, minions, and housing items.
Glamour Gear & Weapons
Hunter’s Starting Set – A faithful recreation of the base gear from Monster Hunter Wilds.
Guardian Arkveld Weapons – A full range of weapons inspired by Arkveld, including greatswords, bardiches, and potentially canes or hammers. Each job is expected to have its own unique design.
Many players are still hoping to see Arkveld’s signature armor, which has not yet been confirmed but may arrive as exclusive drops from the Extreme version.
Mount
Seikret – This mount is based on the bird-like creatures from Monster Hunter Wilds, capable of gliding. This serves as the crossover counterpart to Monster Hunter’s Chocobo.
Minions
Baby Seikret – An adorable hatchling version of the mount.
Vigorwasp – A floating insect companion that mirrors its Monster Hunter function of providing healing.
Housing Items
Monster Hunter Spit Roast (Ribs Edition) – A new variation of the classic cooking spit.
Felyne Striking Dummy – A practice dummy shaped like the iconic Felyne companions.
Supply Chest Tent – Outdoor furnishing styled after Monster Hunter’s camps.
Customizable Hunting Tent – Dyeable housing décor modeled after player camps in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Speculation on Exclusive Rewards
The official site may only list a partial reward set. Based on the previous Rathalos event, players can likely expect a unique mount from the Extreme version and exclusive titles or glamour for those who conquer Arkveld on higher difficulties. Some fans are already hoping for a full Arkveld armor set, or even a rideable Arkveld mount, though nothing is confirmed yet.
Final Thoughts
This crossover is shaping up to be one of the most exciting collaborations in FFXIV history, bringing together two beloved franchises with meaningful combat mechanics and highly desirable rewards.
Whether you’re chasing the Seikret mount, farming the Arkveld-themed weapons, or filling your house with Monster Hunter furnishings, there’s plenty to look forward to when the event launches this October.
So, sharpen your blades, stock up on Mega Potions, and get ready for the hunt—Arkveld awaits.
