PoE 2 0.4 Reforging Guide – How to Double Down on Reforging
Hey everyone, OnesInTheChat is back with another Choir of the Storm reforging session because the last time he did this, he actually lost a little bit of PoE 2 currency, and that has never happened before. So, I think one of two things went wrong.
One, I didn't reforge enough choirs of the storm to get over, you know, any like dry spells. And two, I paid too much for the amulets that I purchased. So, I've fixed both of those issues. So, instead of 144 choirs of the storm, we are going in with 24 of these.
Cost
I paid no more than two divines for each of these, bringing the total to 48 divines. And if we look at the previous write-up, when I last did this, I bought 145 of these for about 3 divines each. So I got 60 more for less. Not only that, Choirs of the Storm level 20 are worth a little bit more. So, if we get two, we're about break even. And I never do this again. But if we get three level 20s, not only do we make a profit today, but we will also be in the profit overall.
So, we're aiming for three level 20's. I will be happy with two. I will be very sad with one, but I would very much like four. And how this works is we can go right to the reforging bench. We can throw in some choirs of the storm. And when we reforge these, they have a chance to roll a level 20 lightning bolt. And I guess we can check this real quick—Choir of the storm, uncorrupted with a level 20. Actually, just went up a little bit. 200 divines. So, we literally need two to just about break even.
Item Level
So, these first couple are just random item levels. The first almost inventory: we have items from level 80 to 84. With the 84's in these last three columns, and then everything in this tab is item level 84.

Profit
We did three beautiful level 20 lightning bolt Choir of the Storm jade amulets. Let's take another peek. See if any more have entered the market. So, we have one for 190, two for 195, and then they go up to 215. Maybe I get 215 for each of these. It's like I divine this, and it just ruins the level 20. That doesn't happen.
So, I think if we go over here, we can easily get 220 divines per one of these, on average. And I most certainly never end on a loss. 250 divines profit. 150 divines profit overall to make up for last time. I don't think I do this again. Maybe next league, but this is just a little too risky, because if we had only gotten two, it would have been completely different. I will gladly take a little bit of profit today.
Worth Trying
I always win, but I don't recommend doing this. It's too risky. I don't like the chance to reforge into level 20. It seems pretty low.
Try Other PoE 2 Items
But as I mentioned earlier, we have the coming calamity heroic armor. And we can see these rolls from level 14 through 20. And these are almost 200 divines as well. So I imagine you can reforge anything with a skill to get level 20. Don't take my word for it. Again, I imagine that's how it works. But keep in mind that these take up, you know, this is 2x3, whereas Choir of the Storm takes up a single space. So, these are a lot more annoying to reforge than an amulet. But anyway, we always win. And I think that is going to be just about it for today.
