PoE Builds 3.16: Cyclone Build - Slayer Duelist

Equipment

Look for these mods on rare items

- Physical Damage

- Melee Damage

- Area Damage

- Attack Speed

- Critical Multiplier

- Evasion

- Intelligence

- Life

Rare Sword

Mods

- At least 750 PDPS.

Notes

- If you have more PoE Currency, you can get a rare sword with a lot of PDPS (Physical DPS).

Rare Helmet

Mods

- Nearby enemies take 10% increased physical damage

- Some Life

- Some Evasion

Notes

- When you have more Path of Exile Currency, get a helmet with these mods.

Rare Body Armour

Mods

- Evasion

- Attacks have +##% to critical strike chance

- A lot of Life

Notes

- It would be good to get a body armour with these mods.

- It's not so cheap to get.

Gameplay Gear

Gems

 

Armour:

Cyclone – Brutality – Infused Channelling – Melee Physical Damage – Fortify – Increased Area of Effect / Concentrated Effect

- You can start forming a 4L with Brutality, Infused Channelling, and Melee Physical Damage.

- When you get an armour with 5 or 6L, you can add Fortify and Increased Area of Effect.

- When you face big bosses, you need to replace Increased Area of Effect with Concentrated Effect.

Sword:

Ancestral Warchief – Ancestral Protector – Multiple Totems – Maim – Culling Strike – Blood Rage

- Ancestral Warchief and Ancestral Protector grant awesome attack damage and speed buffs. Thanks to Multiple Totems, you can have the two buffs at the same time.

- Blood Rage grants an attack speed buff and generates frenzy charges.

- This setup doesn't need to be fully linked.

- The links you need are Ancestral Warchief – Ancestral Protector – Multiple Totems – Maim – Culling Strike.

Helmet:

Dread Banner – Leap Slam – Summon Ice Golem – Faster Attacks

- Ice Golem grants extra critical chance and accuracy.

- Dread Banner grants 20% chance to impale and impale effect.

- Leap Slam is a great movement skill.

Gloves:

Vaal Grace – Assassin's Mark – Steelskin – Increased Duration

- Steelskin gives you a shield that absorbs damage.

- Vaal Grace grants a temporary chance to avoid damage. Use it on bosses.

- Assassin's Mark is a curse that grants more critical chance and multiplier. Use it on bosses.

Boots:

Blood and Sand – Pride – Herald of Purity – Enlighten

- Herald of Purity grants more physical damage.

- Pride causes enemies to take more physical damage.

- Blood and Sand grants area damage or area of effect depending on the stance. Use sand for clear and blood for bosses.

Jewels

Look for these mods on rare jewels:

- Physical Damage

- Melee Damage

- Area damage

- Attack Speed

- Critical Multiplier

- Maximum Life

Watcher's Eye

Mods

- X% increased attack damage while using Pride.

Notes

- This kind of Watcher's Eye is not cheap, but it can optimize your damage.

- It is not mandatory.

Bandits

Leveling

This build has an easy leveling process. It is beginner-friendly.

Tips

- Use Ground Slam from level 1 to 12.

- Then use Sunder until level 28.

- Then you can use Cyclone.

Leveling setup of links:

- If this is your first character, do the following steps:

1. Create a Marauder.

2. Reach the first town.

3. Talk to Tarkleigh and pick Ground Slam as your reward.

4. Put your mace with Ground Slam and Ruthless in your stash.

- Now, when you create your duelist, you'll have to use Double Strike until you reach the first town. There you can grab your mace with Ground Slam and Ruthless in your stash.

- Reaching level 8, you can also support your Ground Slam with Maim and Added Fire Damage.

- Reaching level 12, you need to replace Ground Slam with Sunder.

- When you reach level 16, activate Herald of Purity and Summon Skitterbots for more damage.

- When you reach level 18, replace Added Fire Damage with Melee Physical Damage.

- Reaching level 28, you need to replace Sunder with Cyclone.

- Also, replace Ruthless with Infused Channeling.

- It's also a good time to equip your Edge of Madness.

- Reaching level 31, you can replace Maim with Pulverise.

You can use this setup from level 8 to 31 on this Fire Flicker Stike build.

- Equip the unique sword Rigwald's Charge when you reach level 44.

- Now, you can start using the main Cyclone setup.

- Replace Skitterbots with Blood and Sand at level 44.

- Add Dread Banner.

- You can activate Pride and complete your auras as soon as you get an Enlighten.
