How to Farm Aluminum and Other Resources Fast in Dune: Awakening

In the vast desert of Dune: Awakening, resource farming is key to advancing your gameplay. Aluminum, crucial for creating Duraluminum, is one of the most sought-after materials. ConCon's guide will help you efficiently gather resources like Aluminum, Erythrite Crystals, and Fuel Cells.

Get the Right Vehicle – The Buggy

To do this effectively, you'll need a specific vehicle called the Buggy. Unfortunately, the Buggy can't be stored in the vehicle storage device, so you'll need to either drive it to your destination or dismantle and rebuild it at another location. If you choose to dismantle it, don't forget to bring fuel!

The Buggy Mk5 Assembly is an excellent choice, reaching speeds of up to 85 km/h with a storage capacity of 2,500. While there's a rare blueprint offering 2,750 capacity, 2,500 should suffice for most runs.

Equip your Buggy with the Cutteray Mk5 for fast resource harvesting—it mines Aluminum at a rate of 135. For even better efficiency, invest in the Planetologist skill tree, which boosts vehicle mining efficiency by up to 20%.

The Buggies are also excellent for mining Fuel Cells, yielding almost 600 from a single Fuel Cell block.

Choose the Perfect Base Location

Where you set up your base is critical for resource farming. Western Vermilious Gap is an ideal spot, as it's close to key resource nodes:

•  Aluminum: Found in the Eastern Shield Wall, just north of your base.

•  Carbon: Located in Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb.

•  Erythrite Crystals: Found in Hagga Rift.

Living near these areas minimizes travel time and maximizes efficiency.

You can drive the Buggy out there or dismantle and rebuild it at the resource nodes to save time. It typically will take you an extra minute or two to drive across the desert, depending on where your base is located.

Mining Aluminum

To mine Aluminum nodes, simply drive up to them, hold F to switch to the turret on the right side, and aim it at the node to start mining. Each node will give you around 175 Aluminum. After mining, hold F again to return to the driver's seat. If you're playing with a partner, one person can operate the turret while the other drives, but it's perfectly manageable solo.

In just 8 minutes of mining, you would collect approximately 4,400 Aluminum Ore.

Store and Refine Your Resources

When you arrive at your base, make sure to have a large container ready so you can transfer the resources into your storage. Keep in mind that it fills up quickly, so having multiple containers is essential.

Once stored, head to your Medium Ore Refinery to convert Aluminum Ore into Aluminum Ingots. These can then be used to produce Duraluminum Ingots for crafting.

Trips to Hagga Rift for Erythrite Crystals allow you to refine Cobalt Paste, making your resource runs even more rewarding.

With this guide, you're now equipped to farm Aluminum and other resources efficiently in Dune: Awakening. If you found ConCon's content helpful, please don't forget to subscribe to his channel and share the video with your friends!
