Blizzard's July Collector's Bounty Event in WoW is here, and it's a golden opportunity for transmog hunters and collectors. This limited-time event boosts drop chances for many rare items across legacy dungeons and raids, making it the perfect time to chase legendary weapons, elusive cosmetics, and stylish shoulders. How can we get the most out of this event? Thraun recently shared a guide on his YouTube channel, breaking down what we need to know and what to prioritize. Let's take a closer look. And if you're looking to stock up on The War Within gold, MmoGah is a trusted place to start. Established in 2006, we are experienced at delivering in-game assets.

Must-Have Tool: "All The Things" Addon

Before diving into the grind, install the "All The Things" addon. This tool is invaluable for collectors:

Legendary Weapons to Prioritize

These legendary items now have increased drop rates—some jumping from 4% to 9%:

Not Affected by Drop Boosts:

Shadowmourne (ICC) and Val'anyr (Ulduar) — acquired via quests, not direct drops.

Rare Cosmetic Weapons from Legion Raid

All boss loot is doubled, making even rare cosmetics more farmable. The estimated original drop rate is 0.2%. Now, it is likely closer to 0.4–0.5%, possibly even 5.5% if +5% is applied.

Scythe of the Unmaker (Red & Blue Versions)

Taeshalach (2H Sword)

Drops: Aggramar (Antorus) – All difficulties.

Hammer of Vigilance

Drops: Maiden of Vigilance (Tomb of Sargeras Raid) – All difficulties.

Tip: Many Legion raid cosmetics may be available through Legion Remix vendors in the future, similar to MoP Remix.

Secret Weapons of Throne of Thunder

Apart from boss-specific loot, Throne of Thunder also has rare, unlisted weapon drops from various bosses that don't appear in the in-game Adventure Guide. This includes daggers, staves, swords, axes, bows, and more. The drop rate is estimated at 0.2% – 0.3%. Here are two tips:

Ensemble: Vestments of the Tidesages

Khor, Hammer of the Guardian (All The Things addon needed)

Khor, a unique color cosmetic weapon, drops from Taloc, the first boss in Uldir LFR.

LFR-Only Drop: This version doesn't appear in other difficulties.

Color varies by difficulty:

Rare MoP Dungeon Weapon Drops

Several weapons from Mists of Pandaria dungeons are extremely rare and are now farmable more efficiently. The drop rate ranges from 0.2% to 0.4%. Locations vary across Pandaria zones like Kun-Lai Summit, Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and Valley of the Four Winds.

Rare Cosmetic Apparel

Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade

Drops from: Scarlet Trainees inside old Scarlet Monastery (Alternative - occasionally found on the Auction House)
