Diablo 2 Resurrected Perfect Gems Guide

When playing Diablo 2 Resurrected, players can farm many loots, like various equipment, various scrolls and many Gems. But many players don’t know what the use of gems is. So today I'm going to share the purpose of Gems.

Gems

Diablo 2 Resurrected Gems as one of the 3 kinds of items can be inserted into the sockets items, and they have different qualities and types. Perfect Gems are of the highest quality and the most useful ones. The easiest purpose of perfect Gems is that you can use a perfect Topaz to make a Magic Find item. For instance, you can put perfect topaz into a helmet with sockets, which will add +24% Magic Find. Or you can use perfect Emeralds to add poison damage, and so on. There are more reasons why players like perfect Gems.

1. Upgrade items
The first one is the ability to upgrade items. You can put a set of D2R Runes and a prefect Gem into the Horadric Cube with the item you want to upgrade. You can upgrade Unique items from the Normal version to the Nightmare version, or the Nightmare version to the Hell version. You can also upgrade Rare Items. For instance, if you had an awesome Rare Item, but it’s only normal quality, you could upgrade it from the Normal version to the Nightmare version. Each upgrade recipe requires a different set of Runes and a perfect Gem.

1). Rare items:

To upgrade a Normal Armor to Nightmare version: use a Thul, a Ral and a perfect Amethyst.

To upgrade a Normal Weapon to Nightmare version: use an Amn, an Ort and a perfect Sapphire.

To upgrade a Nightmare Rare Armor to Hell version: use a Pul, a Ko and a perfect Amethyst.

To upgrade a Nightmare Rare weapon to Hell version: use an Um, a Fal and a perfect Sapphire.

2). Unique items

To upgrade a Normal Unique Armor to Nightmare version: use a Shael, a Tal and a perfect Diamond.

To upgrade a Normal Unique weapon to Nightmare version: use a Sol, a Ral and a perfect Emerald.

To upgrade a Nightmare Unique Armor to Hell version: use a Lem, a Ko and a perfect Diamond.

To upgrade a Nightmare Unique weapon to Hell version: use a Lum, a Pul and a perfect Emerald.

2. Re-roll Charms

Another reason is that you can use perfect Gems to re-roll Charms. If the Charms are dropped by Bale in the Hell difficulty from those specific monsters, then they should be at very high level. It’s very worth re-rolling. You can put the Charm and three perfect Gems into the Horadric Cube to re-roll it. But if you’re re-rolling a large Charm, it can end up with crappy stats. So you can re-roll something which would end up with better stats.

3. Craft items

The last reason is that you can use perfect Gems to craft items. Crafting is one of the most useful things that you can do in D2R. Because you can make some amazing items. Of course, you might also make some worthless items. There are four different crafted items. They are the Caster Items, the Blood Items, the Safety Items and the HitPower Items. Because each one uses a different recipe, and they have their own perfect Gems:

  • ● The Safety Items: use perfect Emeralds.
  • ● The Caster Items: use perfect Amethysts.
  • ●The Blood Items: use perfect Rubies.
  • ●The HitPower Items: use perfect Sapphires.
