One of the easiest ways to level up fast in Elden Ring is by farming runes. Runes are experience points that you earn by defeating enemies and completing quests, and they are crucial to boosting your character's stats and abilities. While you will naturally gain runes as you progress through the game, it's often not enough to keep up with the increasing difficulty of your opponents. The easiest and quickest method to get them is simply by purchasing runes in Elden Ring. This method will save you a lot of time.

Fortunately, Elden Ring also offers many locations where you can farm runes quickly and efficiently. These spots often feature easy-to-beat bosses and mobs that can be taken down with relatively little effort, giving you a steady stream of runes to level up your character.

In this article, we've got you covered with some fresh and effective tips for leveling up quickly. Whether you're a newcomer to the game or a seasoned player looking for new ways to power up your character, we'll show you the best ways to achieve your goal.

What Is the Highest Level in Elden Ring?

Reaching the max level in Elden Ring is a true feat of dedication and perseverance. With a max level of 713, players will need to raise every attribute to 99 points, which means a lot of grinding and hard work.

But every journey begins with a single step, and in this case, that step is the 79 attribute points you start with at the beginning of the game. Plus, you get an additional point for the specific class you choose.

However, if you're serious about reaching the top, you'll need to be extremely strategic and patient. You'll need to know the best farming routes and utilize boosting items to maximize your Rune intake. With the right preparation, determination, and skill, you can climb the ranks to become the king of the Lands Between. Here are some tips on how to reach that as quickly as possible.

Albinauric Cliff

This area has become famous for being the most efficient way to maximize your level, but be warned - it's not a walk in the park. With numerous sleeping Albinaurics dotting the landscape and a few patrolling the area, you'll need to keep your wits about you and stay alert to their rolling attacks.

Neutralizing the soldiers can be achieved with just a few hits, even with decent weapons, and with each kill, you'll earn yourself 2,000 runes. But if you're feeling braver, there's even a giant bird across the cliff to take on for an even safer farming option.

How to Get There?

To get to this prime farming spot, you'll need to make your way to the Mohgwyn Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace. But don't worry if you're not sure where to go - simply follow White Mask Varre's storyline and exhaust his dialogue to ensure it progresses.

Eventually, you'll receive the Pureblood Knight's Medal, which will teleport you straight to Mohgwyn and put you on the fast track to your desired level.

Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree

This elusive place is an exceptional late-game region for collecting runes in Elden Ring. The payouts are remarkable - in a single successful run where you defeat all enemies in sight, you can collect up to 25,000 runes!

This is an enormous amount of currency that can be used to enhance your character's abilities and acquire new items. And the cherry on top? Once you become familiar with the layout of this area, it won't take much time to complete. For this region, you will have to be well prepared, and the best way to do it is by buying these valuable Elden Ring items. With them, you will definitely increase your chance of surviving in this area.

How to Get There?

To reach this location, you must first finish Miquella's Haligtree dungeon and vanquish Loretta, the Knight of Haligree. Once you've completed these missions, exit the boss arena and continue straight ahead on the path. This will take you directly to Elphael, where you can begin farming those valuable runes.

However, keep in mind that this region is not for the faint-hearted. You'll encounter a range of opponents and bosses, each with their own unique abilities and strengths. So, be prepared!

Defeat Easy Side Bosses

If you're looking for an alternative way to level up quickly in Elden Ring, then look no further than taking down the game's easy side bosses. Waiting around for the next epic boss battle can be tiresome, but fortunately, there are numerous easy side bosses scattered throughout the game world, just waiting for you to hunt them down and defeat them for a significant amount of Runes. Not only do these battles provide an opportunity to fine-tune your combat skills, but they also offer a chance to obtain valuable items and equipment.

Among the easiest side bosses in Elden Ring are the Erdtree Burial Watchdog, Beastman of Farum Azula, and Pumpkin Head. Defeat them and reap the rewards of both Runes and loot.

Additionally, the Night's Cavalry variations are also relatively easy to defeat, with one that requires almost no effort located just a short distance north of Castle Redmane.

Bestial Sanctum

When you first enter the Bestial Sanctum in Elden Ring, you'll immediately notice the variety of enemies lurking in every corner, along with a few powerful bosses to overcome. However, with the risk comes great reward, as this dungeon is an excellent source of valuable runes.

In order to maximize your rune farming in The Bestial Sanctum, it's highly recommended to complete the dungeon's optional objectives. These objectives consist of hunting down and defeating a group of small, creatures. Each of these creatures is worth approximately 1,000 runes, making them an excellent source of experience points for players who are looking to level up quickly.

How to Get There?

If you're looking to reach the secret Bestial Sanctum in Elden Ring, there are two main ways to get there. The first option is to explore the northeastern part of Dragonbarrow, specifically through Caelid.

Alternatively, you can reach the Bestial Sanctum by using the teleport, which is located in Easter Limgrave near the Third Church of Marika. However, before using the teleport, it's important to seek directions from D, Hunter of the Dead, who will give you clues on how to reach the Sanctum safely.

Runes Boosting Equipment

Gold Scarab

The Gold Scarab is a valuable talisman in any adventurer's collection, thanks to its ability to boost the amount of Runes gathered by 20% when equipped. What's more, its effect can stack with the Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot, another rare item that increases the amount of Rune currency obtained from defeating enemies.

To get the Gold Scarab, you must venture into the Abandoned Cave on the border of Caelid and the Dragonbarrow region. Once inside, players must defeat the Cleanrot Knight bosses to acquire the talisman.

Meanwhile, the Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot can be crafted using three Rowa Fruits, a Four-Toed Fowl Foot, and a Gold Firefly with Missionary's Cookbook 2. Alternatively, players can purchase this consumable from Patches or the Twin Maiden Husks.

Celebrant's Skull

The Celebrant's Skull is a nice rune-boosting weapon in the game, as it offers a generous 20 runes on a successful hit. This number remains constant and cannot be increased by rune-boosting effects.

Claiming this weapon is relatively easy, as it is a fixed drop that can be found on a corpse. Players will need to head to the northeastern section of the map in the Altus Plateau area and locate the Windmill Village of Dominula.

From the Site of Grace, use Torrent and follow the path to the left, passing by a building with barrels in front of it. Along the way, you will eventually reach a windmill on your left, and by following the rocky path along the cliffside, you will come across a body with some birds next to it. Loot this corpse to claim the Celebrant's Skull weapon.

Celebrant's Cleaver

The Cleaver is another decent weapon in the game that offers 10 runes on a successful hit, and this effect can be triggered when used with an Ash of War.

Unlike the Celebrant's Skull, the Cleaver can be obtained by defeating certain enemies within Dominula, Windmill Village. Players will need to head south from the Windmill Heights Site of Grace and encounter the four Celebrants.

Among them, three carry the Cleaver, and each one has a chance to drop the weapon upon defeat. It is worth noting that every Celebrant holding the specific weapon has an equal chance of dropping it, with the exception of the Celebrant's Skull, which is only found as a fixed drop.
