Diablo 4 Season 1 Full Revealed: Release Date, New Features, and Battle Pass Rewards

Good News! Diablo 4 Season 1 will be released on July 20, and the Season 1 Patch will be out on July 18. Its theme is Season of the Malignant, and arrival is a big deal. Many players expect to experience more new content.

Season 1 will introduce a brand-new questline, new boss, new Malignant power, dungeons, new boss battle, 6 new unique items, 7 legendary aspects, gameplay features, and a battle pass. The new items won't be Season exclusive and will also appear in the Eternal Realm.

 

Season 1 Patch will come on July 18, and all new stuff will be available in the Eternal Realm. As well as new balance changes, features, etc.

The Details are as Below:

Seasonal journey feature. Season journey has 7 chapters, and each chapter has a number of objectives to advance to the next chapter. Collect favor for things like collecting 15 Gallowvine, complete any dungeon, complete a cellar, etc. Season journey can let you collect new legendary aspects.

New character Kormand (ph).

New mechanic, the threat – the malignant.

New builds "stupid powerful, hopefully balanced".

32 new malignant powers.

New boss monster.

New legendary items and powers.

New unique items.

New mounts and mounts armor – tier 1 battle pass rewarded.

New transmogs. Free stuff is "low fantasy" stuff like artisans tunic, and epic stuff is premium.

 

Earn Rewards with the Season Journey and Battle Pass

Unlock rewards by progressing through chapters of the Season Journey and tiers of the free Seasonal Battle Pass.

 

Complete chapters of the Season Journey to earn rewards, including new Legendary aspects, a Mastery Title, and a Scroll of Amnesia, which provides a free Skill Tree and Paragon Board reset. Plus, earn favor toward the Battle Pass along the way.

The battle pass hosts 90 Tiers: 27 Free Tiers and 63 Premium Tiers.

Earn your way through 90 tiers and unlock premium rewards like Awoken Armor Sets, Mounts & Mount Armor, Platinum, and much more.

27 Tiers on the Free Track, including a special currency called Smoldering Ashes, armor transmogs, titles, and more.

63 Tiers on the Premium Track, including Cosmetics, armor transmogs, weapon skins, emotes, and more.

 

Speaking of cosmetics, that is the battle pass of Diablo 4 Season 1. Players can earn Diablo IV gold, emotes, character cosmetics, titles, etc. However, there are also tiers with Season Boosts and Smoldering Ashes as rewards. Season Boosts are XP boosters for your character while Smoldering Ashes are used to unlock Season Blessings. The blessings are buffs that give you bonus XP, gold, or Obols when they are active. How to Access Season 1?

To access Season 1, you will need to start fresh with a new character and finish Diablo 4's campaign on either the Eternal or Seasonal Realm with at least one character. Once you have completed the campaign, any Seasonal character will start the game.

 

How to Create a Seasonal Character?

When a new Season starts, you will have the option to create a new Seasonal Hero. This is usually a leaf checkbox next to the character you're creating.

 

Will Altars of Lilith, the Increased Obol Capacity, and Map Progress Be Transfer to Seasonal Heroes?

Yes! Once you collect on any non-Seasonal hero, you won't need to collect them again on any future Heroes. The Renown earned from Altars will also carry over.

 

Will My Character Be Deleted When Season 1 Starts?

No, existing characters will not be deleted when a new Season starts. You can continue to play them on non-seasonal realms, also known as Eternal Realms. All Seasonal characters will be transferred to Eternal Realms when a Season ends.

 

Can Non-Seasonal Characters Interact with Seasonal Characters?

No, they cannot interact with each other.

 

Is Transmog Shared Between Realms/Characters?

Yes, transmogs should carry over between your characters.

 

What Happens to My Seasonal Character When a Season Ends?

Once the Season has ended, the character you created and its progress will be transferred to the Eternal Realm. All D4 items you collected, including in your Seasonal stash, will also be transferred. You can take this character into the Sanctuary, but Season-specific features like Malignant Hearts will no longer be available.
