The Spiritborn isn’t a plug-and-play build like Druid or Necromancer. It takes perfect Diablo 4 gear, heavy resource investment, and full game systems mastery. But if you want to fly through the Pit while unloading hundreds of billions in damage, here’s how to make it happen.

🔥 The Core Engine: Rake + Jaguar Spirit Hall Madness

This build hinges on two things:

  1. Jaguar Spirit Hall – Triggers every 15 hits with a Jaguar skill, unleashing 47% of the damage dealt in the last 0.5 seconds.
  2. Balazan’s Maxtlatl – Converts Thorns into area damage and Poison. Retaliate with Thorns, stack poison, let Jaguar explode.

You don’t care about the poison or base attacks themselves—it’s all about creating a burst window for Spirit Hall to pop off.

🧠 The Build Philosophy

This is a speed/damage stacking machine, not a tanky bruiser. Your job:

🔄 Gameplay Loop

  1. Hunter Ultimate → Pull enemies in.
  2. Vortex → Buffs next skill by 20%.
  3. Rake Spam → Trigger Jaguar explosions.
  4. Jump to the next pack, repeat.

You are not doing damage. Your Jaguar Spirit Hall is. Your job is to spam attacks fast enough to make them detonate repeatedly.

📊 Key Gear & Affixes

  • Balazan’s Maxtlatl (Pants)
    150% Thorns AoE + Poison
Masterwork for Bastion, Thorns, and Poison multipliers.
  • Razorplate (Chest)
Massive Thorns scaling—ignore the “trash” label, it’s key here.
Needs DR affixes to offset its survival drop.
  • Loyalty’s Mantle (Chest)
100% more Spirit Hall potency if matched with Jaguar Spirit.
    Drop source: Grigoire.
  • Vehement Brawler’s Ward (Amulet)
Stack +ranks into Potent (30% bonus dmg vs enemies hit by Jaguar).
    Add damage on ult cast.
  • Fell Soothsayer’s Gloves
Aspect: Kill a vulnerable enemy = echo killing blow to nearby target.
Chain reaction madness in the Pit.
  • Duelist’s Archon Greaves (Boots)
Max ferocity stacks + armor + movement.
  • Ring of Starless Skies
+40% attack speed. Helps hit attack speed cap 1.
  • Nightborne Sight of Wild Claws (Ring)
Rake spawns extra Jaguar—bonus DPS on bosses.
  • Neo + Qax (Weapon Runes)
    • Qax = 100% damage buff (at cost of resource).
    • Neo = restores offering, enabling Qax every 4s.
  • Tam (Weapon Rune)
Rake triggers Druid’s Earthen Bulwark = more barrier = more Viscous Shield damage.

🧪 Aspects & Tempers

  • Aspect of Plains Power: Creates Mystic Circles → Up to 226% bonus damage when max Ferocity is active.
  • Mystic Circle Potency Temper: Max this on gloves, weapon, gear. Triple masterwork if possible.
  • Jaguar Spirit Hall Potency: Same—needs masterworking to reach full S-tier.

TL;DR: No masterwork = no S-tier. Get as close to max rolls as possible.

📈 Paragon Boards & Glyphs

  • Sapping Board (start here): Restores spirit with Jaguar spam.
  • Vicious Shield Board: 1% bonus damage per 3% barrier.
  • Hubris Glyph: Boosts thorns.
  • Ritual Glyph: Boosts Diablo 4 Mystic Circle Potency based on intelligence.
  • Canny Glyph: Increases poison damage (non-physical).
  • Revenge Glyph: +15% damage when dealing Thorns.

♾️ Infinite Resource Engine

  • Loyalty’s Mantle + Vigorous + Reactive Ooze = cheap skills + bonus vigor.
  • Paragon: Sapping – Jaguar spam restores 15% vigor.
  • Rake = Core Skill → Triggers resource perks.
  • Consistent Spirit Regen = Infinite Qax → 100% damage every 4s.

🛡️ How to Stay Alive

  • Permanent Barrier Uptime:
    • Tam Rune
    • Auspicious Passive: Builds barriers over time.
    • Disintegrate Bottle Wind: Barrier every 4s.
    • Barrier Gems over Dex Gems.
  • Max Life ~12k
    • Stack via gear and Paragon.
  • All Resistance Buffs
    • Use incense + elixirs to hit thresholds.
    • Stack 1% nodes on Paragon until you reach the Denial node.
  • Armor Cap
    • Needed for Razorplate to not kill you.
    • Use Fell Soothsayer’s Gloves with Armor affixes.

🧨 Final Thoughts

Spiritborn is not beginner-friendly. It requires:

  • Perfect gear rolls
  • Triple-masterworked tempers
  • Careful resource/barrier management
  • Constant optimization

But if you grind it out, you’ll fly through Pit 90+, pull entire screens, and trigger billions in chain-reaction kills.

If you’re casual, stick to Druid or Necro. If you’re hardcore and want bragging rights? Spiritborn is your Everest.
