Path of Exile - What Do You Think the Good and Bad

By Leo Jiang2017-07-18

Since Path of Exile launched in 2013, we have witnessed this game for more than 4 years. According to incomplete statistics, there are millions of players play PoE now. This game focuses on combat focused gameplay and story driven elements, players will improve their characters, get some PoE Items, acquire gears and gems and work together to defeat the bosses. To some extent, I think PoE looks like Diablo.

Some players maybe want to save more time to do other things, such as playing other MMORPGS, so most players choose to buy PoE Currency from a reliable and first class gold selling website. Because no player wants to be scammed or wait for a long time in playing, as a famous gold selling website, MmoGah has been working on this for more than 10 years, most of the games have reached No1 in Google. Also, we have professional 7/24 online service reps, which can guarantee to provide the best service to you, so you don’t worry about buying poe exalted orb here. Now let’s see the good and bad in PoE.

Good things

The Skill Tree - The skill tree is a huge open network of skill nodes and players can navigate them, your class defining which you start point on the web is possible, so there are thousands of builds to be created.

F2P - Unlike other free to play MMOs, Path of Exile really does a good job of keeping free without paying anything to win.

Skill Gems - Different Gems have different powers such as casting fire, attacking multiple targets, increasing damage, etc. In order to make hundreds of different combos for unique spells and attacks, you can link them together in different poe items.

Leagues - Each player only has one character, unique servers have their own rules, some leagues have Hardcore mode activated where if your character dies then you are removed from the League and put into one of the Standard Leagues.

Barter Based Trading – PoE doesn’t have virtual currency, instead players have to trade with each other in a supply and demand basis, make trading and negotiating items between each other.

The Diablo 3 Style - Diablo 3 has made great forward to improve its early content, Path of Exile still retains the style of the Diablo 2 spiritual successor with its classic ARPG gameplay.

Bad things

Offline Accessibility – There are some interesting concepts in PoE such as no market/auction, so the trade happens in person or no way to know what resources you need for crafting. External message boards to trade make these systems redundant and frustrating at times.

Map Grinding - Endgame content focuses on grinding maps, which items let players fight in instanced dungeon areas for endgame loot. As this is endgame content, it all becomes somewhat tedious to grind and complete them.

Disconnects & Desyncs - This game has suffered greatly performance issues including random disconnects since launched. Worst of all are desyncs where players are out of sync with the server, and really hurt ranged fighters, which feels like lag.

Action Story - Although the setting is extremely fun and gritty, the general story-arcs aren't the most compelling and far away from the RPG experience we like, it makes emphasis on the Action Combat and hack n' slash.

Lord's Labyrinth – It is a randomly generated endgame map whose layout changes each day, it has deadly traps and bosses, but how players unlock their Ascension Class. However, whilst in theory it is an interesting new addition, the final product misses the mark in many ways, it's too long, inconsistently difficult, and it is boring to complete over and over again.
