Dear exiles, farming in Path of Exile 2 is becoming increasingly popular because many people are currently looking for high-tier boss items and more expensive uniques. I want to showcase how you make a lot of currency while farming Citadels. I'm going to showcase how you can do it as efficiently as possible and how you can maximize the amount of currency you will receive from your Citadels.

Citadel Basics
Citadel is a special map location on the Atlas. When you kill the Boss inside, it drops one of the Crisis Fragments. Citadels pop up when you get close enough to see the beams, so check them occasionally. If you're doing everything right, Citadels are pretty common.
How to Find Citadels

You must move as far away from Home as possible to find more Citadels. It doesn't matter which direction you go, but you must stick with going that way. So the main trick is to follow ONE direction. So if you choose right, always go right. The main idea is to finish maps FAST. There is no need to worry about map buffs or full clear; complete them to move in the direction of your choice. You should find at least one new Citadel per hour; when I was lucky, I was finding three. Make sure you're not going in circles, and you won't find any Citadels if you do. Perfectly, you need 2 Towers near the Citadels to maximize the buff and get more Fragments.
In Short
To farm Citadels, you need:
● Run as many maps in ONE Direction, aiming to get away from Home.
● Setup Towers only for Citadels.
Atlas Tree
When you're searching for Citadels, your Atlas is irrelevant. When farming Citadels, you need to maximize the Quantity of Waystones found. Even if it won't proc ofter, it's still a good buff. It makes the maps harder, so make sure you can run it.
Tablet effects are necessary too. Remnants of Power is pretty great, especially if it's going to progue and could be very useful for Citadels farming. Another cool thing that you can use in your Atlas to maximize your chances of dropping something good from it. You can take a quantity from Spoils of War because it's considered like a map boss.
Tablets and Towers Setup
I recommend using normal tablets if you have only one Tower close to your Citadel. You need to aim for "Increased Quantity of Waystones" for normal tablets. If you have only one Tower, use ONLY magic tablets for quantity.
You can utilize Visions of Paradise to run the map several times if you have double towers. It's pretty expensive, so using it could be risky.
Map Buffs
You need a map with a Minimum of 100% Waystone Drop Chance. To get Waystone's % high, you need full suffixes, preferably the ones that provide more Waystone drop chance. You can also use Distilled Envy. It has an amazing buff for Citadel farming, and free "90% increased Waystones" were found. You can try corrupting, hoping to increase Waystone drop chance %.
Final Thoughts
That's been Ronarray's guide to farming Citadels. I want to reiterate that all the images in the article are sourced from his video. It's an easy way to make significant currency. You should be able to make a nice amount of Divine Orbs by selling your fragments or farming Arbiter later on. Both options are pretty viable, and you should be able to succeed with both.
