The FFXIV Patch 6.25 is here, packing a lot of new content and features. Including everything from new quests to new weapons and housing items. While a detailed list of changes has been posted on the Lodestone, we have summarized it in this post to save you time.
The highlight of the new update is the addition of several new quests. Square Enix has added several new quests, including Hildibrand quests, Omicron tribal quests, and Variant Dungeons quests. However, in order to experience these new quests, players must have completed all the relevant missions prior.
Apart from that, the new patch also brought new housing items to the game. The specialty of the new housing items is that a couple of them were from the FFXIV Furnishing Design Contest 2019. New orchestrion rolls have also been introduced in the new patch.
Other new playable contents include New Triple Triad cards and other quality-of-life improvements that make the gameplay look more polished, including a log message when trying to leave the Island Sanctuary while using the Duty Finder.
DID YOU KNOW?
Apart from a lot of new content, the other major changes that hit the game are coming from the Battle System department. Square Enix has adjusted some stats and buffs of some quests to favor the players. Some changes and additions include;
• Increasing of the strength of the Echo granted in Pandæmonium: Asphodelos (Savage)
• Changing of the appearance of the area after the completion of Abyssos: The Seventh Circle and Abyssos: The Seventh Circle (Savage).
• Addition of the new variant dungeon, the Sil'dihn Subterrane, alongside several new story threads.
• Addition of the new criterion dungeon, another Sil'dihn Subterrane with a more challenging approach to its gameplay.
• Addition of another new criterion dungeon, another Sil'dihn Subterrane (Savage), with an even more challenging gameplay experience.
In addition, several new changes to PvP have also been made. There have been some instances where some mechanic abuse was done with the effect of Guardian used by a paladin to take control of certain devices with little risk. According to the developers, this was not how the action was intended to be used. And the issue was addressed by patching in the Guardian to no longer have an effect on targets interacting with an object.
As most big patches do, 6.25 also packed some brand-new items for the players to enjoy. This included new items of clothing, new recipes, new miner and botanist gathering points, new fishing holes, new fish, new mounts, new minions, and new fashion accessories.
Apart from all the new in-game content, Square Enix has also added new achievements, titles, and other minor changes to the game menus. A lot of the known issues have also been addressed in this new patch. All of these new changes come in addition to all the new content brought by patch 6.2 a couple of months back. If you are unsure of what the previous patch brought to the game, check out the 6.2 Patch Notes that briefly cover it all.
Thank you for reading, and have fun with all the new content.
