New Allied Races are Ready to Recruit
With the war in full swing between the Horde and the Alliance, you’ll need some allies to help you ensure your faction’s victory. The journey will bring two new Allied Races—Mag’har orcs and Dark Iron dwarves into the fold, which has begun in Kul Tiras and Zandalar.
At the same time, you can earn these two Allied Races’ loyalty and add their might to your faction if you meet the requirements as below.
Reach level 120
Become Exalted with the key subfaction from your side’s War Campaign:
Alliance: 7th Legion
Horde: The Honorbound
Complete the War Campaign in Kul Tiras and Zandalar and earn the Achievement Ready for War (earnable on both Horde and Alliance).

In this week’s episode of Quality Control, Ryan Gilliam, first-time guest and World of Warcraft veteran, joins Dave Tach to discuss World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth.
Island Expeditions are special 3-player scenarios in Battle for Azeroth. The goal of an Island Expedition is simple – to obtain Azerite found on an uncharted Island. You will sail to the island with filled some enemies native to the island. After killing enemies, looting chests, and completing special events, you will be rewarded Azerite that is loaded up on your ship.
The Island Expeditions is the best way to power up your Heart of Azeroth each week. This new artifact hangs around your neck, and collects a new resource called Azerite to grow more powerful. The Heart is paired with Azerite gear which can match your head, chest or shoulder slots. These armor pieces have special abilities built onto them. The higher level of your Heart of Azeroth, the more powerful gear you can wear and the more powerful traits you can empower.
The games’ new Island Expeditions bring random runs to WoW. Each island is a small, mildly randomized map filled with quests to complete and enemies to slay. Each time you do either, a meter ticks up. The trick is that a group of NPCs or other players if you’re feeling brave, they are attempting to do the same thing faster than you. If they fill their bars up first, you are lose.
The core idea of Island Expeditions is good, but the execution is not very easy. During the first week of Expeditions, the new game mode was beyond frustrating. Attempting to defeat the Heroic level enemies, you will feel cheap.
But after playing more Island Expeditions on the Mythic difficulty - a step up from Heroic, my crew of three finally got into a groove. While the mode still felt frustrating at times and boring at others, the process of building a strategy into Expeditions suggested that fun can be had in the mode.
