What Are Flasks
Flasks are not craftable and have three types:
Flask of Crimson Tears: It is good for recovering HP or hit points. (HP is a base stat to measure characters' health. If the HP of a character is 0, the character will die)
Flask of Cerulean Tears: It can be used to restore FP - the abbreviation of focus points. (FP is an energy resource. When players' characters cast spells and Incantations, FP is reduced.)
Flask of Wondrous Physick: It can create different effects through different concoctions. With it, players can enhance many stats, such as HP and FP; not just that, some skills can also be boosted.
Where to Get These Flasks
Flask of Crimson Tears: During the game's tutorial, players can get 3 Flask of Crimson Tears when they are defeated by the Grafted Scion, which is an optional boss that players can choose to defeat after they get enough levelings and power. Or, when dying at the beginning of the game, players can be transported to Stranded Graveyard and get Flask of Crimson Tears there.
Flask of Cerulean Tears: When players are lost in the battle with Grafted Scion in the game's tutorial, they can get 1 Flask of Cerulean Tears.
Flask of Wondrous Physick: Players need to go to a place which is called Third Church of Marika, located in Mistwood in the Easternmost limits of Limgrave. If players can get the info item - Note: Flask of Wondrous Physick, this may help players find where it is.
How to Replenish Flasks
There are two ways for players to replenish their flasks. First, players can refill their flasks when they rest at a site of Lost Grace. Second, when layers and layers of enemies surround them, they need to kill a lot of the enemies. After the enemies are dead, when players see a red mist floating around them, this means they will get one use of their flask back.
How to Upgrade Flasks
Flasks, like Flask of Cerulean Tears and Flask of Cerulean, can be upgraded if players can collect enough Elden Ring materials - Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears. However, Flask of Wondrous Physick can not be upgraded with these materials, but it can be customized by using Crystal Tears.
Golden Seeds: This can increase the using numbers of Flask of Crimson Tears and Flask of Cerulean Tears.
1. One Golden seed can be used to increase the number of the flask to 6.
2. Two Golden seeds can be used to increase the number of the flask to 8.
3. Three Golden seeds can be used to increase the number of the flask to 10.
4. Four Golden seeds can be used to increase the number of the flask to 12.
5. Five Golden seeds can be used to increase the number of the flask to 14.
You can see that reaching the maximum number of flask needs 15 Golden seeds. (1 + 2 +3 + 4 + 5 = 15). So if you want both Flask of Crimson Tears and Flask of Cerulean Tears to be maximumly increased, you need 30 Golden seeds in all.
Sacred Tears: This can enhance the potency of Flask of Crimson Tears and Flask of Cerulean Tears. The highest potency of the restorative effect is +12.
For each upgrade, you need 1 Sacred Tear. If you get all the 12 Sacred Tears in Elden Ring, you can get the maximum effects of Flask of Crimson Tears and Flask of Cerulean Tears. But these Sacred Tears are not easy to get.
Crystal Tears: This is the key item that can be used to enhance the effect of Flask of Wondrous Physick. There are many different types of Crystal Tear, such as Crimson Crystal Tear and Cerulean Crystal Tear.
