World Bosses in Guild Wars 2

By Cathy Deng2017-04-14

World bosses are special event bosses encountered throughout the open world of Tyria. World boss events in guild wars 2 attract many players. And the world boss event is a good way to earn various kinds of high-level equipment and upgrade components. Here MmoGah as one of the best gw2 items and gw2 gold selling sites will share some basic information about the world bosses in guild wars 2.

Tequatl the Sunless

Tequatl the Sunless is one of Zhaitan's champions. Tequatl, whose name means "the one in darkness" in the language of the hylek, has long plagued the Splintered Coast of Sparkfly Fen, opposed by the Vigil, the sylvari of Caer Brier, the asura of the United Arcanist Lab, the quaggans of Brooloonu, and the local hylek tribes. Recently, Vigil tacticians have reported that Tequatl seems to have "evolved" and its attacks have become more elaborate, and Tequatl has become more difficult to fight.

Mordrem Vinewrath

Mordrem Vinewrath is a level 80 meta event that occurs in the Silverwastes. It follows The Breach. Pact Choppers which bring siege carriers to the area. The siege carriers have to be protected as they break down the vine blocking off Vinewrath Tangle, and if successful, the Vinewrath has to be defeated.

The Claw of Jormag

The Claws of Jormag are lieutenants of Elder Dragon Jormag, which have followed the kodan Sanctuaries south into Frostgorge Sound. These world bosses fly around the area terrorizing the kodan and Pact camps by dropping corrupted ice shards containing icebrood. Unlike the other dragon champions, the Claws of Jormag are fought in different phases.

Jormag is the Elder Ice Dragon that lives in the northern reaches of the Shiverpeak Mountains. Jormag awoke in the beyond the Far Shiverpeaks in 1165 AE and moved south, causing the kodan to flee the icy seas and battling the norn inhabitants there. His rise caused earthquakes that cracked and shattered the northernmost lands, allowing the icy northern ocean to flood through and create new inland seas. These new inland seas are now inhabited by some refugee kodan Sanctuaries. Jormag also caused a rise in the tide of the northern ocean which capsized and tore apart many other kodan's iceburg cities.

The Shatterer

The Shatterer, also called the Beast by some Sentinels, is a rank given to a champion of Kralkatorrik. At any given time, there's only a single dragon of this rank. Once a Shatterer dies, the title moves on to a different dragon. The Shatterer regularly patrols the Dragonbrand within Blazeridge Steppes. It is said to be one of the forces keeping the corruption active in the area. The Sentinels and Vigil are both actively fighting the Shatterer

Shadow Behemoth

The Shadow Behemoth is a gargantuan nightmare creature from the Underworld, who breaks into the world of Tyria through the Godslost Swamp in Queensdale, near the sunken Temple of Ages. In combat, it creates portals to the Underworld that summon shades and aatxes. Killing the shadow behemoth is the final objective of the Secrets in the Swamp meta event and a Demonic Chest spawns upon its death.

Legendary Karka Queen

The Legendary Karka Queen is a world boss in Southsun Cove. When its event triggers, players are given 15 minutes to reclaim 4 settlements (if those settlements are contested by karka invasions or crazed wildlife) and kill the Queen. Once all of them are controlled by the Lionguard, the Karka Queen spawns.

The Karka Queen has extremely high damage reduction due to the Armored effect. The stacks must be removed by throwing the Karka Eggs that periodically spawn in the area at her, so that she can be killed before the event time limit runs out. She will occasionally regain 15 stacks of the buff.

The megadestroyer is a powerful destroyer that can be encountered in Maelstrom's Bile within Mount Maelstrom during the event: Kill The Megadestroyer Before It Blows Everyone Up. Killing megadestroyer is the final objective of the meta chain The Battle for Mount Maelstrom.

Jungle Wurm

The Great Jungle Wurm is an enormous Jungle Wurm in the heart of Wychmire Swamp, south of Twilight Arbor. Although it spawns Summoned Husks and Nightmare Hounds, Gamarien believes its presence there is the result of a "much darker force" than the Nightmare Court, and simply defeating it is not enough to clear the local corruption.
