By Nancy G2023-04-14

Greetings exiles! In today's article, I will show you Daniel’s three meta builds that are among the most played on PoE 3.21 Crucible.

1. Toxic Rain

Let's start with the most played skill. The one is Toxic Rain, which over 8% of players use. In this build, we have the Raider Ascendancy with the Ranger class.

This build uses Raider's attack speed to deploy numerous pods that drain the life out of your enemies.

Pros and Cons

To list the pros of this build, I would start with how easy this build is to put together. You don't need any mandatory unique item; the leveling is simple. This build is great for beginners because you end up having great clear speed, boss damage, and survivability with low investments.

Now to list the cons. The main issue of this build is mana. Since we are dealing with damage over time build, we cannot leech mana or life because of that issue. We need rare rings that reduce the mana cost of skills.

Budget

As for the budget, you can get it destroying early endgame maps with only around 100 Chaos Orbs. To comfortably advance to yellow maps, you need to invest around 150 Chaos. To easily complete your atlas, I recommend investing around four Divine Orbs. But you can do it with less.

Clear Speed

For clear speed, this build gets 9 out of 10 as a Raider. You already have a lot of movement and attack speed. Also, you only need to deploy the pods once, and they will drain surrounding enemies granting smooth gameplay.

Boss Damage

The boss damage also gets 9 out of 10. Combining your strength with Toxic Rain totems. Bosses drown in countless pods. Even the biggest ones are going to melt like butter before your eyes.

Survivability

For this survivability, I'll give it 9 out of 10. This is because this build has high evasion, armor, and spell suppression. Above all, you can use Toxic Rain from a safe distance, and its pods heavily slow down enemies.

2. Righteous Fire

Now let's talk about this flaming hot meta build. That is being used for 6% of all the high-level Crucible players. I'm talking about the Righteous Fire Juggernaut with the Marauder class.

You can easily use all the tankness and life regeneration from the Juggernaut to sustain the Righteous Fire damage and walk your way through the endgame.

Pros and Cons

To list the pros of this build, I'll have to start with how comfortable and smooth this gameplay is. You start clearing maps without noticing as soon as you get this build sustaining Righteous Fire. This character is also super tanky, and it would be hard to die even if you tried to.

Now to list the cons. I'd start by saying that the boss damage isn't great. But don't worry, you kill map bosses easily, even on a low budget, but Guardians and Pinnacle bosses will take longer than usual if you don't invest a few Divine orbs. Another issue is that the leveling is complicated since we use the spell as a Marauder. But if you follow the steps on the leveling section closely from the complete guides, you won't have a problem.

Budget

As for budget, you can get destroying early endgame maps with only around 105 Chaos, but if you follow the crafting tips on the complete guide, this can get a lot cheaper. To comfortably advance to yellow maps, you need to invest around 150 chaos, and for easily completing your atlas, I recommend investing around 4 divines, mostly on your survivability

Mandatory Uniques

You need two mandatory unique items for this build. The first is Legacy of Fury boots. They scorch nearby enemies and cause them to explode at an amazing clear speed. Those boots might be a little bit expensive during the first days of a new league. But don't worry. You'll be fine playing without them until the price drops.

The other mandatory unique is the Immortal Flesh Belt. This one grants a huge amount of live regeneration and even a great armor buff.

Clear Speed

For clear speed, I'll give this build 10 out of 10. As mentioned before, as soon as this build is complete, you walk and watch every enemy burn only because of your presence. This means not stopping you from casting and saving much time while farming.

Boss Damage

The boss damage, on the other hand, is not that great. I would give it 7 out of 10 because it would need investment to do a decent DPS on Pinnacle bosses and guardians. But don't worry, this build still kills mad bosses easily on a low budget.

Survivability

For survivability, this build surely has 10 out of 10. This build gets over 100 000 armor, 2 000 live regeneration per second, over 87% of all elemental resistances, and over 50% chance to block spell damage. The effective HP goes beyond 200 000. Even if you try to die, it wouldn't be easy.

3. Venom Gyre

Finally, we have an awesome and OP build that is being played by 4% of all high-level players on Crucible—the Venom Gyre Deadeye with the ranger class.

Venom Gyre is a very interesting skill that fires a projectile that hits enemies and returns to you, piercing and dealing damage to everything on its path. When the projectile successfully returns to you. You can keep and stack them up to 30 times, and they will be released at once when you use the Whirling Blades movement skill.

Pros and Cons

To list the pros of this build, I would not even know where to start. It counts with an amazing clear speed, boss damage, and over 100 000 effective HP. Above all, it's cheap with less PoE currency and easy to put together. It doesn't require any mandatory unique item.

Now listing the cons is the real challenge. It's hard to find something not to like on this build. However, I'd say that, as with most builds, this one is also vulnerable to chaos damage unless you invest in Chaos Resistance gear.

Budget

As for budget, based on previous leagues, this build is very cheap. You can get it destroying early endgame maps with only around 90 Chaos. To comfortably advance to yellow maps, you need to invest around 120 Chaos. To easily complete your atlas, I recommend investing around 4 Divines.

Clear Speed

For clear speed, I'll give this build 10 out of 10. The Venom Gyre projectile already has an expensive nature for the time it stays dealing damage. Now with a Deadeye that grants a lot of speed and many buffs to projectiles, the result is on this tier 16 gameplay.

Boss Damage

The boss damage is also a 10 out of 10. You can use Vaal Venom Gyre to instantly have 50 stacked projectiles and delete bosses with an amazing shotgun effect using Whirling Blades on them. It's just unreal, and I can't believe it wasn't nerfed.

Survivability

For survivability, I give it 9 out of 10. This build counts over 100 000 effective HP because of high armor, high evasion, spell suppression, and block chance.
