New Changes to the ESO Crown Store Gifting

By Michel Z2023-10-18

The Crown Store gifting feature is now available again after a 23-day period of being disabled. This is significant news for ESO players, as it means that they can now send Crown Store items to their friends and also receive Crown Store items via Crown Exchange. However, it's worth noting that ZoS has implemented a system to determine Crown gifting eligibility, which takes into account an evolving list of factors. This system is not limited to but includes:

•    Your ESO account must be at least 180 days old.

•    Your account has no ToS violation for 6 months.

•    Your account has consistent in-game activity.

To check if you have access to gifting in-game, you can do so via the Crown Store or your billing history page in the ESO account center. In your billing history, you will see "Allow Crown Store Gifting" if you have access to Crown Store gifting.

If you do not have access, you will see a "Gifting Locked" pop-up message when you try to send a gift via the in-game Crown Store. ZoS is currently exploring better ways to display this information in-game, such as updating the Gifting Tutorial.

If you are unable to gift items from the Crown Store and want to request a review of your account, you can visit https://help.elderscrollsonline.com and submit a Customer Support ticket. In the ticket, please select Billing/Purchase/Code category, then Platform > I have a question about a sale/offer > I want to send gift items from this account.
