A new hidden Uber boss encounter has been discovered in Diablo 4 through the long-running Lucky Coin secret questline. By completing the Lucky Coin, Luckier Coin, and Luckiest Coin steps, players can open a hidden portal leading to the Foyer and its secret boss fight.
This guide explains how to complete the full secret questline and unlock the encounter.
Required Quest Items
To open the hidden area, you need all three items:
● Ring of Misfortune — from the Lucky Coin questline
● Ring of the Jinx — from the Luckier Coin questline
● Amulet of Dark Omens — from the Luckiest Coin questline
The newest part of the mystery to be solved is the Luckiest Coin → Amulet of Dark Omens step.
How to Get the Ring of Misfortune
First, obtain a Lucky Coin by looting an NPC corpse killed by a monster while you are under the effect of a Greed Shrine. Then gather five players using the five original classes: Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer.
Travel to the Wishing Well east of Cerrigar in Scosglen and have each class throw in a Lucky Coin. After all five coins are deposited, participating players receive the Ring of Misfortune.
How to Get the Ring of the Jinx
In Nahantu, activate a Blast Wave Shrine and destroy nearby targetable containers. This can spawn a special invulnerable rat.
Follow the rat until it explodes and drops the Luckier Coin. The original solved method takes about 7 minutes and 9 seconds, although some players have reported shorter times. Then take the coin to the moss-covered grave near Samuk in southwestern Nahantu and interact with it to receive the Ring of the Jinx.
How to Get the Amulet of Dark Omens
To get the Amulet of Dark Omens, you first need the Luckiest Coin.
You need a four-player party and travel to Skartara in western Skovos. Each player must kill one of the four Rare Elemental Golems within a few seconds of the others:
● Raging Fissure
● Flowing Rage
● Droplet
● Snagging Vein
Once all four targets are defeated successfully, every player in the party receives a Luckiest Coin.
Next, travel to southern Temis and find the special Pillow. Place the Luckiest Coin under the pillow and wait 24 hours. Once the timer expires, you can return and claim the Amulet of Dark Omens.
There is one important restriction: do not miss the two-minute window. You only have around two minutes after the 24-hour timer expires to interact with the pillow. If you miss the window, you may need another Luckiest Coin and have to repeat the process.
How to Unlock the Hidden Uber Boss
Once you have the Ring of Misfortune, Ring of the Jinx, and Amulet of Dark Omens, set the game to Torment 12 and travel to Lorath's Cabin. Then:
1. Equip all three jewelry pieces at the same time.
2. A Horadric Portal will appear.
3. Enter the Portal.
4. You will be taken to a hidden area called the Foyer.
5. Move to the center of the Foyer.
6. The hidden Uber boss encounter will begin.

Inside, you face the Unlucky Council, which includes:
● Echo of Neyrelle
● Echo of Lorath
● Echo of Donan
This encounter is different from a standard Uber boss fight, with strong ties to Diablo 4's story and long-running secret questlines.
Hidden Boss Rewards
After defeating the boss, you receive a special Boss Trophy called the Horadric Coin.
Transmute the Horadric Coin in the Horadric Cube together with:
● 2 × Engagement Rings
● 1 × Lost Amulet
Both the Engagement Rings and Lost Amulet are Junk items obtained from fishing.
Completing the recipe gives you a Sack of Ill Trinkets.
Opening the Sack grants:
● Ring of Misfortune
● Ring of the Jinx
● Amulet of Dark Omens
This makes it much easier to obtain another set of the three jewelry pieces after completing the secret questline once.
After crafting the Sack of Ill Trinkets for the first time, you can also buy additional sacks from Squirt the Peddler in Temis, making it much easier to reopen the encounter.
