This guide explains how to unlock Uber Tristram step by step, collect the required materials, open the red Mythic Portal, and prepare for the fight against the Uber Prime Evils.
What Is Uber Tristram in Diablo 4 Season 15
Uber Tristram is a secret endgame encounter where players enter Echo of Tristram to challenge three Uber versions of the Prime Evils: Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto.
Inspired by the classic Diablo 2 event, this encounter is designed for well-prepared characters with optimized builds, strong gear, and enough survivability to handle multiple powerful bosses at the same time.
Uber Tristram’S Rewards
Uber Prime Evils can reward some of the most valuable items.

Hellfire Torch is the core reward, which is one of the most powerful unique items added in D4 Season 15. It delivers universal skill bonuses, full elemental resistances, expanded unique charm slots, and flexible set build synergies. This farm has quickly become the meta endgame grind for players chasing perfect mythic gear and build diversity.
However, the fight requires serious preparation because the encounter is not easily repeatable.
How to Unlock Uber Tristram Step by Step
1. Unlock Access to Old Tristram
The first step is unlocking access to Old Tristram through the Deckard Cain storyline. To complete this step, players must collect all 10 Deckard Cain’s Journals scattered across Sanctuary.
Players can collect these journals in any order, and each location will show a cyan marker on the map when you get close, making them easier to find.
After collecting all 10 journals, a new quest called Deckard’s Journey will become available. Return to the Imperial Library in Kehjistan and speak with Deckard Cain to complete the quest.
A portal to Deckard’s Memory will then appear, allowing you to enter Old Tristram and continue preparing for Uber Tristram.
2. Collect Prime Evil Splinters
To open the final red Mythic Portal, you need three types of Season 15 crafting materials: Terror, Destruction, and Hatred Prime Evil Splinters.
These rare Splinters can drop from open-world activities, Tree of Whispers rewards, and seasonal caches. The most reliable farming method is defeating the Torment 10 versions of Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto encounters.
Each boss can drop all three Splinter types, with around 10 kills needed on average for one Splinter. Among them, Baal offers the fastest farming route, with runs taking about 2–3 minutes for well-prepared builds.
3. Create Wirt’s Lucky Coins
Once players collect all three Prime Evil Splinters, combine the materials in the Horadric Cube to craft Wirt’s Lucky Coins, the exclusive key item for the pinnacle boss fight.
4. Disable Cross-Network Play Before Opening the Portal
Before opening the Uber Tristram portal, disable Cross-Network Play in your settings.
This step helps avoid a current portal activation bug. If another player opens the portal first in the same instance, your portal may fail to appear, and your Wirt’s Lucky Coins could be wasted.
5. Open the Uber Tristram Portal
After disabling Cross-Network Play:
1. Go to the Imperial Library.
2. Enter the portal to Deckard’s Memory and return to Tristram.
3. Find Deckard Cain near the fountain.
4. Check the fountain before interacting with it.
● Normal water color: The portal can still be activated.
● Red water: Another player has already activated the portal, and your Wirt’s Lucky Coins may be wasted.
If the fountain is normal, interact with it to open a red portal marked with six question marks. Enter the portal to reach Echo of Tristram.
Uber Prime Evil Boss Mechanics
Inside Echo of Tristram, you will face three Uber Prime Evils together: Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto.
Unlike normal boss encounters, this fight combines the abilities of all three Prime Evils at the same time. Diablo applies heavy Fire damage and area attacks, Baal creates constant pressure with ranged abilities, and Mephisto uses dangerous damage-over-time effects.
The key to success is maintaining mobility, avoiding overlapping attacks, and preparing enough damage reduction, resistance, and healing before entering the fight.

Inside Echo of Tristram: You can teleport back to town to repair your equipment: however, if you leave through the red portal or teleport somewhere else while in town, the portal will close.
