The latest Diablo 4 patch has introduced a new hidden reward: Cuddly Conduit, a colorful Town Portal cosmetic also known as the Rainbow Portal. It's the second secret discovered in the update, following Foreshanks of the Bovine. This rare cosmetic features a vibrant rainbow effect that makes returning to town more eye-catching.
Want to unlock it for yourself? This guide explains how to enter Whimsyshire, defeat the unicorn boss Neigh'relle, and obtain The Perfect Cupcake to unlock Cuddly Conduit.
1. What is Cuddly Conduit?
Cuddly Conduit is a hidden Town Portal Cosmetic introduced in Diablo 4 Season 15. Also known as the Rainbow Portal, it features a colorful design that makes your return to town more eye-catching than a standard portal.
This cosmetic has three main features:
- Free to Obtain: You can unlock it through gameplay without purchasing it from the in-game shop.
- Rare Collectible: Its low drop chance makes it a desirable reward for players who enjoy collecting unique cosmetics.
- Visual Effect Only: It changes the appearance of your Town Portal without increasing damage, defense, or other character stats.
Once unlocked, you can equip Cuddly Conduit through the Town Portals section of your Wardrobe.
2. How to Get Cuddly Conduit
To obtain Cuddly Conduit, you need to enter the hidden area of Whimsyshire, defeat the unicorn boss Neigh'relle, and obtain the rare drop called The Perfect Cupcake.
Step 1: Enter Whimsyshire
One way to access Whimsyshire is by obtaining Liquid Rainbow through the Season Journey.
-
- Progress through the Season Journey and complete the relevant Rank V challenges.
- Complete the associated Worldstone Keep challenge and claim Liquid Rainbow.
- Open your inventory and use Liquid Rainbow in an area where the item can be activated.
- Enter the rainbow portal that appears to reach Whimsyshire.
Liquid Rainbow is a consumable that disappears after use. If you need help getting it or opening the portal, follow our guide to unlocking Whimsyshire with Liquid Rainbow in Diablo 4 Season 15.
You can also look for alternative ways to enter Whimsyshire through activities such as World Boss encounters and Helltides.
Step 2: Defeat Neigh'relle
Once inside Whimsyshire, make your way to Den of Whimsy and look for Neigh'relle, the unicorn boss.
Defeating this boss gives you a chance to obtain The Perfect Cupcake. The drop rate is low, so you may need to defeat Neigh'relle multiple times before receiving it. Having the right D4 gear can make repeated attempts easier..
When The Perfect Cupcake drops, it triggers a sound similar to that of a Mythic item.
Step 3: Unlock and Equip Cuddly Conduit
Picking up The Perfect Cupcake automatically unlocks Cuddly Conduit, so you don't need an additional consumable.
After unlocking it, open your Wardrobe, navigate to Town Portals, find Cuddly Conduit, and equip it to use the rainbow-themed portal.
Tip: If Cuddly Conduit doesn't appear in your Wardrobe after you pick up The Perfect Cupcake, check your inventory and the item's tooltip to see whether you need to take any further action in your current game version.
