The March of the Goblins event in Diablo 4 is a limited-time seasonal activity packed with loot, rewards, and unique content. In this guide, we’ll show you how to efficiently farm Treasure Goblins, progress through the reputation system, and make the most of War Plan nodes to maximize your rewards.
What Are the Rewards in the Goblins Event?
The Goblins event is a highly rewarding seasonal activity that offers players a wealth of valuable Diablo 4 items, crafting materials, and progression opportunities. Event rewards include:
● Goblin Bags – Contain loot and crafting materials from Treasure Goblins.
● Reputation – Progress on the Marshall of the Goblins board unlocks permanent buffs.
● Resplendent Spark – Special reward at the end of the reputation track.
● Cosmetics – Event-exclusive outfits and appearances.
● Caches – Repeatable reward chests providing additional loot.
● Treasure Breach Sigils – Unlock Nightmare Dungeons with extra goblins and loot.
● Secret Goblin Dungeon – Hidden area accessible via War Plan portals for additional rewards and encounters.
This list highlights why the event is one of the best opportunities for players to farm loot, advance reputation, and access unique content.

How to Farm the Goblins Event Efficiently
Step 1: Set Up Your Goblin Farming
Before heading to the best farming locations, there are a few simple optimizations that can dramatically increase your Treasure Goblin kills per hour.
Disable Cross-Network Play
Disable Cross-Network Play in the game's connection settings. This reduces the number of players in your shard, lowering the chances of someone else killing a Treasure Goblin before you reach it.

Hire Subo as Your Mercenary
Subo is one of the best mercenaries for the March of the Goblins event. His passive ability marks nearby enemies on both the mini-map and overlay, making Treasure Goblins much easier to locate while moving between farming routes.
Use the Full Map
Frequently open your full map. Goblins appear on the world map at a much greater range than on the mini-map or overlay. Regularly checking the map allows you to place pins and travel directly to goblins before they even appear on your screen.
Step 2: Reach Rank 10 Reputation
Before diving into serious goblin farming, make sure your setup is optimized, your farming routes are ready, and your first priority is reaching Rank 10 on the Marshall of the Goblins reputation board. Achieving Rank 10 is essential because several reputation milestones—ranks 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10—unlock permanent buffs that increase the number of Treasure Bags dropped by Treasure Goblins, significantly boosting your rewards throughout the event.
To access the reputation system, travel to Western Kyovashad and interact with the Goblin Statue. From there, you can track your progress and claim reputation rewards.
The fastest way to reach Rank 10 is to run Infernal Hordes and encounter an Ether Goblin Chaos Wave. Completing a single Goblin Chaos Wave can take you from Rank 1 all the way to Rank 10. To improve your chances of getting a Chaos Wave, select the Total Chaos node in the Infernal Hordes activity tree, which increases the chance for Chaos Waves to appear.
Step 3: Farm the Best Goblin Locations
Once your setup is optimized, focus on areas with high monster density. More monsters generally mean more opportunities for Treasure Goblins to spawn.
Celestia
Located in Skovos, the area around Aarat's Bulwark consistently offers one of the highest goblin spawn rates during the event. Multiple goblins often appear within a short period of time, making this one of the most efficient farming locations available.
Nahantu
For players who own Vessel of Hatred, Nahantu is another excellent choice. Start at Samuk, travel south through the Five Hills, and then move east into the Restless Canopy. The combination of strong monster density and large farming areas makes this route highly effective.
Scosglen North Shore
If you don't own the expansion, the North Shore of Scosglen remains one of the best farming locations in the base game. The area's dense monster population creates a steady stream of Treasure Goblin spawn opportunities.
Step 4: Use the Best War Plan Nodes
The new War Plan system can dramatically increase both goblin spawns and rewards while running Nightmare Dungeons. Three War Plan nodes stand out for Goblin farming:
Goblinfall
Goblinfall gives Treasure Goblins a chance to drop Treasure Breach Sigils. This is one of the most important nodes for sustained goblin farming.
Altar of Avarice
Altar of Avarice causes a Goblin Altar to appear after every 20 Elite kills. Activating the altar spawns additional Treasure Goblins, increasing both loot and event reputation gains.
Greed is Good
Greed is Good gives Treasure Goblins a chance to open a portal to the Goblin Retreat when killed. This is arguably the strongest goblin-related node available during the event.
* The Goblin Retreat is a special area that can be accessed through portals generated by the Greed is Good node. In addition to featuring more Treasure Goblins and bonus loot opportunities, the retreat contains a mysterious Cow Statue. Its purpose is currently unknown. Some players have speculated that it may be connected to a future secret or Easter egg, although Blizzard has not officially commented on it.
Why the Goblins Event is Worth Farming
The Goblins event offers more than just loot. Players can obtain large amounts of crafting materials, event-exclusive cosmetics, and bonus reputation that carries over to future seasonal activities. Compared to standard open-world farming, the event has higher goblin spawn density, repeatable reward chests, and special War Plan modifiers, making it one of the most efficient ways to improve gear and resources during the season.
