One of the most reliable ways to earn gold in World of Warcraft is through using professions wisely. Professions are either primary professions or secondary professions. Every character can only have two primary professions at a time. However, you may have all of the secondary professions, which can provide a number of benefits, resources and side activities. The secondary professions include Cooking, Fishing, First aid and Archaeology. Some professions: Fishing & Cooking can work well together, while others: Archaeology and First Aid don’t really work with other professions, but they are still useful. As a beginner, you should learn mmogah guide about each secondary profession’s benefits.
A cook can prepare different types of food which will restore health and provide a variety of "Well Fed" buffs when eaten.
These buffs can increase any attribute, and some give you unusual passive abilities. They can also teach you the ability to create campfires, which are usually required to cook.
You'll need ingredients for each recipe (meat and fish are common), which can be found by killing beasts, fishing or from vendors.
It is a very easy profession to level up to the max skill depending on how long you’re able to play. Paired with fishing, this makes for a great raid combination. Even if you don’t raid, but your guild does. It can prove to be beneficial as you could make the feasts for the raids or buff foods for the raiders.
Fishing is a popular secondary profession. You can fish from lakes, rivers, oceans with a Fishing Pole. The items you fish up can be anything from gray junk to epic treasures and even rideable mounts!
You can get fish needed for Alchemy or Cooking. The Fish can be used to create feasts necessary for raids or battlegrounds. Fishing works well with Cooking, as you can fish and then use your cooking skill to cook it.
Fishers have their own daily quests, such as cooking can be found in the capital cities and provide experience, reputation and skillups. Additionally, there are weekly fishing competitions - the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza for you to compete and win more rewards.
Fishing can be a convenient companion profession to give you materials if you're trying to level cooking, and you may also find some cooking recipes with useful buffs require fish to prepare. Some players find fishing is a relaxing break from the leveling grind.
Weave and apply cloth bandages and poison-cleansing anti-venoms to heal you. It is considered as a must-have profession for all classes who can’t heal themselves by magical means.
Once you’re in the higher levels, except for achievements or having that profession maxed out, First aid provides little to no benefit. One bandage can heal your character, actually First aid definitely proves useful in the lower levels. You can even sell the stacks of bandages at a vendor for a few gold pieces, especially if you’re a new player, but every little bit of wow gold in your bags help.
Remember that using bandages is similar to channeling a spell: it heals in small bits over a period of time, especially if you're in combat, so it can be interrupted, bandages are a nice health boost.
The main benefits that Archaeology has to offer are that mount collectors, toy collectors, and pet collectors can get some new mounts, toys, or pets to add to their collections.
Archaeology is the only way to get a variety of unique wow items, such as the Fossilized Raptor mount or Clockwork Gnome companion as well as a range of epic-quality gear. So if you want to get them, the profession is a must.
Archaeology can be frustrating to level, as it requires the collecting of artifacts all over the game world, but it can be a nice change of pace from the standard game.
If you’re a raider, you might consider taking up Cooking & Fishing at the very least, so you can use those to help benefit your raid or your own buff foods. Some players prefer having one character maxed on the secondary professions, so they can provide food to alts.
