Trial of Valor Raid follows 2 weeks after the Patch 7.1: Return to Karazhan of World of Warcraft. There are three bosses in this raid: Odyn, Guarm and Helya, which will be available first in Normal and Heroic difficulties, with Mythic and Raid Finder Difficulties opening afterward in November 15th. The story of Loken’s betrayal, Odyn’s predicament and Helya’s plot are waiting for players to unleash. The mission of protecting the land of Azeroth is continuing.
Both Odyn and Helya are titanic bosses that can hardly be conquered by 5-player group. Trial of Valor is designed as an interlude between the Emerald Nightmare and the Nighthold raid, which complements the Emerald Nightmare without obsoleting its rewards. #1 Boss: Odyn
Odyn has been trapped in the Halls of Valor for millennia by the curse of his bitter nemesis, Helya. Fighting with Odyn has three phases: Hymdall, Hyrja and Odyn. Firstly fight with Hymdall and Hyria until they withdraw to let the raid fight Odyn in the last two phases. There won’t be many abilities of them for each phase, so just make well coordination with the group.
A three-headed hound that serves for its cruel mistress Helya. Guarm stands at the gates of Helheim to prevent any invaders from attacking its mistress. Be cautious for its ever-watchful detecting. Fighting with Guarm has only one phase and positioning is the key factor. In Mythic mode the fight is meant to be a DPS check and has a four-minute enrage timer, which does not exist in Normal and Heroic Difficulties.
#3 Boss: Helya
Ever served for Odyn, Helya is vengeful. Not satisfying with reigning her shadowy realm, she is now focusing her vast Kvaldir army in plaguing the living. It’s time for heroes to stand out! The fight with Helya is divided into 3 phases: in Phase 1, the boss has 5 abilities in all. In Phase 2, the boss swims away but does some abilities. In phase 3, the boss combines the abilities between Phase 1 and 2. Team coordination and cooperation will tip the scales.
