• Guide to Mercenary Mode of World of Warcraft Patch 6.2.2

So many Wowers are powerfully attracted to World of Warcraft patch 6.2 legion. The legion major characters are Legendary Watcher, Vicious satyr Nightmare Lord, Heir to Stormwind, Naga commander, Ruler of Gilneas, Highmountain ruler of the hostile drogbar, Archmagi of The Kirin Tor, Chieftain of the Stormreaver clan, Dark Lady of the Forsaken, Future and past lord of Outland.

Now on the legion Mercenary Mode arrives in patch 6.2.2, which essentially lets wowers queuing for Ashran or unrated Battlegrounds fight for the opposite faction if their faction’s wait time is “long.” Wowers in Mercenary Mode will still earn the same rewards as they would normally, except for faction-specific achievements. This new feature allows you to act as a mercenary for the opposite faction in PvP. Whenever your faction is experiencing a long wait time to get into Ashran or unrated Battlegrounds, agents of the enemy faction appear in your base in Ashran (Stormshield for the Alliance, Warspear for the Horde). These agents allow you to enter Ashran or Battlegrounds disguised as an enemy player and fight as the opposite faction.

When you compete as a mercenary, you still earn all of the same rewards you would have by winning or losing as your own faction (with the exception of faction-specific achievements). Your race also automatically changes into one appropriate for the opposite faction while you’re still inside the Battleground or Ashran. Perhaps most importantly, you can expect to experience much shorter queue times, as our matchmaking system will be able to fill up groups much quicker!

Mercenary Mode allows you participate in Ashran or unrated Battlegrounds the ability to do so without having to wait through long queues, while still maintaining the spirit of the core Alliance vs. Horde fantasy.

    However mercenary has its limitations.

Mercenary Mode won't allow you to do things other than Ashran and Unrated BGs as the opposite faction. For example it doesn't allow you to raid with the opposite faction or World PvP as the opposite faction.

It only applies to Ashran and unrated battleground queues, other PvP queues are not affected, even if they are experiencing long waits.

For Ashran, it does not let you queue up with other players from your borrowed faction in a party, you must solo queue.

Hired as a mercenary in Ashran, you cannot purchase gear from the vendors inside Ashran.

You will not get credit for your Nemesis quests while using the Mercenary queue into Ashran, and cannot complete the opposite faction's Nemesis quests.
