What is Forbidden Sanctum?

Path of Exile's The Forbidden Sanctum adds rogue-like activities to the gameplay. Gamers can use an out-of-map feature called Sanctum once each map or zone, or it can be saved up to be used simultaneously (8 encounters saved at once). The gameplay mechanism involves players entering the Forbidden Sanctuary and planning their route through a labyrinth with four floors and 32 different sorts of chambers. Players should anticipate confronting a demanding boss after each floor's eight chambers.

There are many difficulties in the Sanctum, but there are also means of overcoming them. Once inside, you'll have an invaluable option called "resolve," which resembles a health bar and suffers "damage" anytime hazards or enemies strike your player. Your run will finish, and you'll have to restart if you lose all of your willpower.

Let's see what different mechanics and rewards await in this fantastic game mechanic.

What is Included in this Rogue-Like Feature for Forbidden Sanctum?

Sanctums give you access to various resources to help you advance as far as practicable on each run. You can locate springs in designated areas to strengthen your resolve, strong blessings to protect you from opponents, and Aureus coins to trade with the Sanctum's trader for even more strength.

With the help of the crucial tips and tactics in this Forbidden Sanctum tutorial, you will discover how to maximize your treasure and improve your gameplay.

Sanctum Rooms

The latest rooms to take into consideration are those in the Sanctum. These rooms come in a variety of sorts, and each has its unique functions:

Offering Rooms – The player can gain currency immediately after the level or at the sanctuary's end in this chamber. The choice is more lucrative, the riskier it is. You will lose the cash if the specified target is not attained.

Offering Rooms

Merchant Rooms – A seller in the trader rooms will sell you strong boons to ease your run for Aureus coins. Additionally, the Merchant may occasionally charge you a hefty amount for Sanctified and Common Relics.

Fountain Rooms – There is a fountain in these chambers that you may use to regain your resolve. There are also afflicted fountain rooms that provide extra resolve at the expense of making your run afflicted. Rarely can you come across one of the two exceptional fountains: Radiant (which grants a blessing and maximum resolve) or Benevolent (Grant Inspiration and a blessing or remove an affliction even)

Accursed Pact Rooms – Three options are available to gamers in these chambers. There are benefits and drawbacks to each decision. Gamers can choose one of the three pacts, all three, or none at all. You will have access to a randomly selected money offer once you have made at least one pact.

Accursed Pact Rooms

Treasure Rooms – When finished, these chambers are available in two sizes, Minor, which may contain two chests, and the Major 5, each of these chests full of aureus coins. During your next Sanctum, you can swap these currencies for more power by participating in battles.

Afflicted Rooms – These rooms are indicated in purple, and if you enter them, they'll grant you an affliction that lasts the rest of the run. You should carefully assess your options before entering an Afflicted Room because you might want to avoid some harmful ailments altogether.

Relics

Within the Forbidden Sanctum, relics represent an ongoing method of power advancement. As you advance in the league, tabs on your relic altar will become available for you to fill with relics you discover. There are three sizes of relics, each with its modifying pools, and placing them on the altar will provide you access to their effects while you are running in the Sanctum.

Small Relics – 2 by 1

The following are the Prefix Modifiers:

● Increase in Max Resolve

● Coin gain at the start of each run

Similarly following are the Suffix Modifiers:

● Coin drop chance for monsters

● Coin drop chance for chests

● Gain Resolve on Boss Kill

● Map reveal

Medium Relics – 3 by 1

You can find the following Prefixes in these relics:

● Recovered Resolve increase

● Inspiration at the start of the run

● Increased DMG to the Guards or Bosses

● Increase Merchant choices

And following are some of the Suffixes:

● Chance of coins for completing the room

● Reduction in Merchant prices

● Chance of Resolve for completing the room

● Bosses and Guards Resolve impact reduction

Large Relics – 2 by 2 and 4 by 1

As before, the following are some of the Prefix modifiers you can gain and find:

● Inspiration gained for receiving Affliction

● Increase in Max Resolve

● Increased DMG to the monsters

● Gain Resolve on Boss Kill

And the Suffix modifiers are as follows:

● Gain Max Resolve on Boss Kill

● Gain Max Resolve by using a fountain

Relics can be placed on your board more than once, and their benefits stack. For practical Forbidden Sanctum farming, a solid relic loadout is necessary.

Rewards

Early in the league, taking the lesser-risk course will pay out the best. In the Sanctum, about 40% of the chambers are "offering" chambers that give cash.

The Sanctified Relic, a new equipable item class, is introduced in The Forbidden Sanctum. Only the league mechanism can supply you with this relic.

Irrespective of other prizes, they're still precious and will probably make farming the Sanctum worthwhile.

Gameplay

Each Campaign Area or Atlas Map you finish will get you access to an extra Forbidden Sanctum chamber. Farming in relatively small Areas is excellent for building up a whole Sanctum level to run simultaneously (8 rooms).

senctum vaults

Plot a route through the Sanctum that offers the chambers with the most connections. This will give you a greater possibility of running into an offering room. Choose the highest level of risk you are comfortable taking while providing rooms to gain loot; taking a chance is preferable to getting a meager payout.

Always keep an eye on your resolve and Aureus Coins, and only choose the trader and spring chambers when required.

Optimizing

Keep your goals around the following strategies for maximum benefit.

Strategy Synergies

You should pair your forbidden sanctum plans with some other atlas plan to ensure you're making as much currency as possible in the final phase.

Eldritch Altar Farming – It is the perfect partner for Forbidden Sanctum because it prioritizes playing small maps rapidly while focusing on moving fast. This tactic will have to wait till the endgame since altars are only unlocked there.

Alch and Go – Forbidden Sanctum's ideal companion is Eldritch Altar Farming since it emphasizes dominating tiny maps quickly while concentrating on movement. Since altars can only be achieved in the endgame, this technique will have to wait.

Orbs of Horizon

You can utilize Orbs of Horizons to improve the patterns of maps. You can maintain high-tier maps with layouts that are best for fast mapping.

Each league will have different map configurations as each map level changes. To replenish your map pool, use Orbs of Horizons on the below-level maps you don't need.

● Toxic Sewer and Graveyard for the Tier 16 maps

● Dunes, Grotto, and Ashen Wood for the Tier 15 maps

● Underground Sea and Canyon for the Tier 14 maps

Using all the suggested maps will allow you to maintain a map pool in a league easily. Some of these maps are excellent for fast mapping, while others are just OK.
