Harvest Crafting Guide PoE: How to Craft OP Gear

By Michel Z2020-07-15

In the PoE Harvest league, there is a potential for the average players to craft gear that is well beyond their reach. This can generate Path of Exile currency and give you a chance to solo craft your high-end gear. In this video, Behind Eyes Gaming teaches you how to use the Harvest mechanic to craft powerful high-end gear that’s accessible to all levels of players.

The first thing you’ll need to do is going to the poedb mod section. The site of poedb provides you with all the mod classifications. You can use this to your advantage to get guaranteed rolls on specific items. You can also use this to craft powerful leveling items.

You can clear out the Mud Flats in Act 1 and get two item level 4 Wands. Then you use the chaos crafts on them. Since there are only two possible outcomes at this item level, you are sure to get either chaos damage over time multiplier or +1 chaos gem levels. Having two +1 chaos gem level Wands while starting an Essence Drain Contagion character will make your whole leveling experience extremely overpowered. There is also the possibility that you can get both, which would be even more powerful, and later, you can craft even more damage.

Another example of this is for very sought-after sets of boots with “You have Tailwind if you have dealt a Critical Strike recently”. You can ensure this roll by having a pair of Hunter Boots on item level 75 or higher and using the crit craft from tier 2 seeds called Primal Viper Grain. You can do the same with the Redeemer boots to get a guaranteed roll of “#% chance to gain Elusive on Critical Strike” because these are the only critical modifiers that can roll on these particular pairs of boots.

For body armor, you can use an Elder or Hunter influenced item like item level 84. But you can also start with a level 68 item. You’ll want to put in attack craft to get a guaranteed roll of base Critical Strike for attacks. You can do the same with Castor seed on Shaper or Hunter influenced items to get the base spell Critical Strike Chance.

Even more interesting are the possibilities provided by the augment crafts. These are free targeted exalts. You can use these augments to either hit specific rolls using the methods we talked about earlier on already great gear, assuming that they have an open prefix or suffix as necessary. Or you can limit the options even further by forcing them to hit a prefix or suffix.

For example, if you have a weapon with “#% increased Physical Damage” and flat increased Physical Damage as your prefixes, and you fill up your suffixes either with crafting or just by having them rolled, you are much more likely to hit hybrid Physical damage percent and increased accuracy rating with a physical augmentation. You can still hit leech, but your odds are significantly increased compared to an exalt slam or using an attack harvest craft, which can hit elemental damage, particularly considering hybrid percent damage has better odds weighting.

These are not all of the possibilities available for the Harvest crafts. There are more than I could cover in this guide. If you are looking to craft some nice gear, I would recommend going to poedb, giving it a shot.
