What is Siege of Atlas?

Siege of Atlas is the expansion to Atlas of the Worlds, a multidimensional Nexus of dimensional openings where anything and everything can happen. Like most endgame content, the Atlas mechanic lets you play random encounters in different modes to fight stronger bosses and gain much more powerful loot than the campaign.

 

Atlas has had numerous expansions since its launch in 2016, with story and action content added to it over the years. 2023 will be no different, as many things are coming with this expansion.

What Does Siege of Atlas Bring New to Path of Exile?

A lot more action has actually occurred in Atlas thanks to its various story arcs, each of which featured brand-new interdimensional foes for the player to defeat and plunder. Two more are introduced in Siege of the Atlas, each intent on consuming everything.

These rewards and modifiers allow you to upgrade the map with Legion spawns, and the mechanics of Atlas change with each upgrade, making your endgame powerful loot.

 

New bosses mean new powerful Boss-specific unique items, new Eldritch currency, new perks, and more.

 

Four mummified mini-bosses from the Archnemesis League are dispersed across the entire game. By customizing them with various perks and loot modifications from common enemies, you can wake them up and fight them. The mods from earlier mini-bosses are already active for the next mini-boss in that location. You get more rewards with each boss, enhancing the loot you gain.

 

You won't even have to give up extra inventory space for these monster enhancements. A new league-specific inventory panel is made available just for the Archnemesis league. It's a sweet boost to the quality of life.

 

 

Gross Prophet Margin

You would no longer be required to deposit silver coins for side quests as the Prophecy content is being retired. The good thing is that nothing else is being axed. You can still explore the previous story bosses in the Atlas, and Grinding Gear Games even had time to slightly boost the difficulty of Act 2 of the main storyline, allaying your fears of missing out.

 

There are many QoL features here for the expansion, some minor nerfs, and also buffing up some archetypes to show them some love in this new expansion.

 

The only issue that may be left with Siege of the Atlas is that players must complete the single-player campaign to access most of the brand-new material. A brand-new player would need to play for several hours to accomplish the storyline if they started fully in the dark and learned it all as they went.
