EA Is Dropping Rookies into MUT Soon

By Michel Z2018-04-27

EA Sports is going to drop rookies into Madden Ultimate Team soon after they’re drafted! Rookies including Saquon Barkley, Sam Darnold, and Bradley Chubb will be released in the order in which they're drafted. Some will be earnable through special sets, while others will be available via packs.

The latest news is that Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield was selected No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Browns tonight, so it is very likely that he will be rated 99 overall

To prepare for the draft, EA launched their Madden 18 draft challenges earlier this week—a series of 32 missions in which you can earn up to 77,000 MUT coins, 15 redeemable badgets, and an NFL Draft Future Start Token Item. They're part of EA's usual rotation of solo challenges, which are very useful for grinding and earning new players in Ultimate Team.

Alas, you won't be able to fulfill Josh Rosen's destiny and add him to the New England Patriots in your franchise mode. The rookies are only available via Ultimate Team. EA has to keep the hype train rolling for Madden 19 somehow.
