The Writhing Wall event in The Elder Scrolls Online has been officially scheduled! Starting on October 13, 2025, players across Tamriel will engage in what promises to be the game's most ambitious server-wide event yet. Central to this event is the Writhing Wall, a massive soul-forged barrier that stretches across the island of Solstice. This event marks a groundbreaking effort for ESO, featuring a real-time, communal experience where every player's contributions are vital. Not only does this event provide a thrilling challenge, but it also grants rewards, offering a fantastic opportunity to boost your gold coins in The Elder Scrolls Online.
Whether you are a seasoned veteran or a casual adventurer, your actions will directly impact how quickly the Wall falls. The battleground for this monumental struggle is Solstice, the latest chapter zone introduced in The Elder Scrolls Online as part of the Seasons of the Worm Cult storyline.
Where Is the Event Taking Place?
The event takes place on Solstice, a remote island located south of Murkmire, which has become the focal point of this year's narrative and new content model. The island is divided into two main regions: Western Solstice, accessible since the chapter's launch, and Eastern Solstice, which remains sealed behind the Writhing Wall. The upcoming event focuses on uniting players to shatter the Wall, thereby unlocking the eastern part of the island.
Participation varies based on your game version. If you purchased the full Solstice chapter, you can directly join the Fellowship's efforts in Solstice, completing quests at camps near the Wall and battling the Worm Cult. If you don't own the new content, don't worry! The Support the Fellowship quest is available for free in the Crown Store, allowing players without the Solstice chapter to participate in their own version of the tasks from the base-game island of Stirk. This means everyone can contribute, and every effort counts toward the server's progress in breaking the Wall.
The Stirk Fellowship Explained
The Stirk Fellowship is a coalition formed in response to the resurgence of the Worm Cult on Solstice. This partnership includes the Fighters Guild, the Mages Guild, and representatives from the three Alliances, all of whom have been affected by the cult's sudden attacks and the abduction of their leaders. Following the crisis, senior members of both guilds and trusted warriors from each Alliance convened on Stirk. A chance remark during this emergency council led to the group being named the Stirk Fellowship.
Leadership of the Fellowship is held by Prince Azah, acting Guildmaster of the Fighters Guild, and Gabrielle Benele, acting leader of the Mages Guild. They are joined by representatives from each Alliance: Razum-dar for the Aldmeri Dominion, Walks-in-Ash for the Ebonheart Pact, and Skordo the Knife for the Daggerfall Covenant. Together, they coordinate the defense against the Worm Cult and rally warriors from across Tamriel.
Event Phases (Dailies, World Boss, Breaking the Wall)
The event will unfold in three distinct phases:
Phase One: Players will assist the Stirk Fellowship, either at Stirk or Solstice, depending on whether they own the 2025 Content Pass. Tasks will include gathering supplies, crafting, collecting Vitrified Souls, and combating Worm Cult incursions. Even players without the Content Pass can contribute from the mainland, ensuring everyone has a role in the battle.
Phase Two: The stakes rise with the introduction of a new World Boss named Ghishzor in Solstice. Defeating this formidable foe is crucial to advancing the event.
Phase Three: The climax arrives as server progress culminates in breaking the Wall and unlocking access to Eastern Solstice.
During Phase One, players will focus on completing four different types of daily quests to support the war effort. Most quests can be picked up at the Stirk Fellowship Camp, but one quest giver, General Zasimba, is exclusive to the Solstice Fellowship camp, making this task available only to those who own the new chapter. You can complete these dailies multiple times per day across all characters, providing a steady source of progress and rewards.
Rewards and Collectibles
Your first completed daily quest of the day will reward you with a Glorious Writhing Reward Coffer, while additional completions yield standard blue coffers. Inside, you'll discover a variety of themed items, including Wormwrithe Outfit Style pages, fragments to assemble the Wormwrithe Haj Mota Hatchling pet, and Bone Skill Style fragments, which require twenty-five pieces to create a usable style. Players can also earn Stirk Fellowship motif pages from the General's quests and unlock Worm Cult-themed furnishings, perfect for adding eerie relics to your homes.
Please note that, unlike most in-game events, the Writhing Wall does not provide event tickets. Instead, the emphasis is on unique collectibles, style pages, and furnishings, which makes the rewards closely tied to the ongoing story. Some of these rewards can also be sold on the Guild Traders, offering a great opportunity to earn gold coins.
Community Effort
Mark your calendars: October 13, 2025, is the day the Writhing Wall begins! Whether you're gathering resources, battling siege waves, or taking down Ghishzor with allies, every action will contribute to that climactic moment when the Wall shatters. This is a unique opportunity for the ESO community to unite in a way the game has never attempted before.
