The Shattered Paths Signet is an eagerly awaited mythic item set to revolutionize gameplay in Elder Scrolls Online. This powerful addition is designed to enhance versatility and adaptability across various builds, making it a game-changer for players seeking to optimize their performance. In this video, Skinny Cheeks will provide a comprehensive breakdown of everything you need to know about this item, including its functionality, the skill lines that synergize best with it, and the methods for obtaining it during the Night Market event.

Tip from MmoGah: As you prepare for this exciting new content, consider boosting your in-game experience by purchasing ESO gold. Having sufficient gold can significantly ease your journey in acquiring the Shattered Paths Signet and other valuable items, allowing you to focus on enjoying the game without the stress of resource management.

How the Shattered Paths Signet Works

The Shattered Paths Signet introduces a unique mechanic that increases your damage done with status effects by 1% for every 1 ultimate you have, capping at a maximum bonus of 170% when you reach 170 ultimate. However, there are a few caveats:

1. PvP Adjustments: Against players, both the current and maximum damage bonuses are halved.

2. Status Effect Application: When you have 170 or more ultimate, your light and heavy attacks apply a random status effect once every 4 seconds.

3. Minor Timidity Debuff: While in combat, the Signet applies Minor Timidity to you, consuming one ultimate every 1.5 seconds.

While the Minor Timidity debuff may seem like a drawback, it's manageable because this mythic is designed for situations where you're not actively casting your ultimate. Once you reach the threshold of 170 ultimate, maintaining it becomes relatively straightforward.

Additionally, on the Public Test Server (PTS), adjustments are being made for the Warden's bear companion. If the bear is active, the damage bonus is halved further. In PvP scenarios where both the bear and player stipulations apply, the damage is reduced to one-third. While this may seem restrictive, there are still effective ways to use this mythic with specific builds.

Best Skill Lines and Builds for Synergy

Warden Builds

Despite the bear-related stipulation, Wardens remain a top choice for leveraging the Shattered Paths Signet due to their synergy with status effects:

• Animal Companions Skill Line: The Wild Guardian morph is particularly effective with this mythic because it triggers significant hemorrhaging damage without needing to cast your ultimate. This makes it an excellent pairing even after the Update 50 adjustments.

• Winter's Embrace Skill Line: The Glacial Presence passive increases both the chance to apply and the damage of chilled status effects, creating a powerful synergy with the Signet.

For update 49, if you are using this item on a Warden, it is recommended to replace the Green Balance skill line with something like Herald of the Tome. While not ideal as a primary foundation for a build with this mythic, it serves effectively as a second or third line option. This line offers a valuable passive called Psychic Lesion, which enhances status chance and status damage. Alternatively, you could opt for any high-performing third DPS lines, such as Assassination, to achieve excellent results.

Looking ahead to update 50, with the introduction of Class Masteries, a pure Warden build will become an optimal choice for this mythic. In this case, you can confidently retain all three of your Warden skill lines to fully leverage the potential of the new system.

Sorcerer Builds

Sorcerers also shine with this mythic in Update 50 due to their ability to generate sundered and concussed damage. The Overload (Ultimate) is particularly noteworthy—it drains only 21 ultimate at a time, allowing you to maintain the 170 ultimate threshold for extended periods.

However, keep in mind that Overload prevents you from gaining ultimate from group buffs provided by Cryptcanon Vestments or the Pillager's Profit set, making it slightly less effective in organized group settings compared to using it on Dummies.

Werewolf Builds

Werewolf builds benefit greatly from the Shattered Paths Signet thanks to their hemorrhaging and sundered damage output. The Werewolf's unique Rampage ability, which costs fury instead of ultimate, allows you to stay in werewolf form while keeping the mythic active.

Although Minor Timidity can be a minor inconvenience (as ultimate is required to maintain werewolf form), there are several workarounds to ensure smooth uptime.

Other Viable Setups

While Wardens, Sorcerers, and Werewolves offer some of the strongest synergies with this mythic, it can still perform well in most common DPS setups. If you're running another class or build that emphasizes status effects or benefits from high ultimate pools, the Shattered Paths Signet may be worth experimenting with.

Where to Find the Shattered Paths Signet

Initially, the Shattered Paths Signet will be obtainable during ESO's limited-time Night Market event, running from April 29th to June 17th. The event involves engaging in various activities and defeating bosses to uncover pieces of the mythic item.

For those concerned about missing out during this time-limited event, rest assured—ZeniMax Online Studios (ZOS) has confirmed that secondary sourcing will be available after the event concludes. While specific details on permanent acquisition methods have not yet been revealed, players can expect more information as we approach June 17th.

To maximize your chances of obtaining all necessary leads during the Night Market event:

• Participate in all activities: Explore thoroughly and defeat every boss.

• Use resources like UESP, ESO Hub, and the Lead List add-on (a replacement for Display Leads) for tracking progress and finding locations efficiently.

With the full player base engaging in this event rather than just PTS participants, information about lead locations should become widely available very quickly.
