1. Herbalism
This is a gathering profession, which allows players to find and harvest herbs from around the world’s scattered plant resource nodes. Herbalism is primarily leveled up by gathering herb nodes.
Some herbs can be used in other trade skills, but most of them are used for Alchemy and Inscription.
In Battle for Azeroth, depending on your faction, Herbalism has a separate skill:
Alliance - Kul Tiran Herbalism and Horder - Zandalari Herbalism.
Herbalism Trainers:
You can ask a city guard for directions, if you hard to find your profession trainers. This will place a marker on your map at the NPC’s location.
Each rank increase via the ranking system allows you to gather more effectively.
Rare herbs
Because certain herbs cannot be easily farmed, their prices and availability on the auction house tend to be highly unpredictable. This makes herbalism a valuable skill to obtain them.

Gathering herbs can grant experience, providing herbalists a small boost while they level.
Tips and Tricks
In Battle for Azeroth, there are 3 new wow items to speed up herb farming.
Monel-Hardened Stirrups - Gather while mounted.
Monel-Hardened Hoofplates - 20% Increased mount speed.
Coarse Leather Barding - Mobs no longer dismount you.
You can switch to tank spec, if you don’t have Coarse Leather Barding.
Depending on your faction, you can enchant your gloves with Enchant Gloves - Zandalari Herbalism or Kul Tiran Herbalism.
Maps
I highly recommend gather mate and Routes. These addons are what I used to create these maps and will allow you to personalize your own. Gather Mate records nodes when you interact with them. Routes computes the most efficient routs using the node location data.

2. Mining
The new BfA Mining skill is named differently for the two factions
Alliance - 
Kul Tiran Mining and Horde - Zandalari Mining.
You can walk up to a guard in Dazar'alor or Boralus, and then ask where the Mining trainer is located. This will place a red marker on your map at the trainer's location.
Farm the minerals is the best way to level mining and make your wow gold. For example, if you’re level 250 head out to farm some Thorium Ore, this will sell well on the auction house and earn you levels until 275.
Make sure that you use ‘track minerals’ on your min map and try to keep mining until you fill up the last stack of ore, at that time, you can sell it easier on the auction house. It’s a lot easier to sell a stack of 20 ore than it is to sell 18 or 12. I also recommend that you smelt some ore and sell the bars. This will make it easier and faster to sell everything you find while mining.
3. Skinning
The Skinning skill is split by faction in Battle for Azeroth,
Alliance - Kul Tiran Skinning and Horder - Zandalari Skinning, which can be learned for 50 gold from the respective Skinning trainers. Battle for Azeroth professions have a maximum of 150.
You can skin any mob with Skinning skill, but you get the leather’s type is determined by the mobs level and your skinning skill. If you want to get higher level leathers, such as Rugged Leather, you still need high Skinning skill.
