The Night Market is an exciting new addition to The Elder Scrolls Online, set to debut on April 2nd with the launch of Season Zero: Dawn and Dusk. Tamriel_Tidbits's video will serve as your guide to understanding the Night Market, its districts, factions, activities, and rewards. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to ESO, this guide will help you make the most of this unique event.

What Is the Night Market?

The Night Market is a self-contained event zone located in Fargrave, designed to challenge players with its engaging content. While strong solo players can explore parts of the market, teaming up with a group is highly recommended for tackling its more formidable bosses. The zone is perfect for guild events and large-scale group activities.

The best part? Access to the Night Market is completely free as part of Season Zero's free Tamriel Tome. Players who own the premium or premium plus versions of the Tamriel Tome will gain access to bonus collectibles, but all core content and rewards are available to everyone.

The Night Market is not just a one-time event. It will close before the second quarter patch drops, but it will return in the fourth quarter with new content based on player feedback. The developers at ZeniMax Online Studios are committed to making this zone a dynamic and evolving experience, ensuring it remains fresh and engaging for players.

Exploring the Night Market

The Night Market is divided into three districts, each controlled by a different faction vying for power. Upon entering the zone, you'll meet an NPC called The Curator, who will introduce you to the factions through an introductory quest. Completing this quest will reward you with a stunning new player home, the Night's Den, which you can use as a free port into the event zone throughout its duration.

Tip from MmoGah: The quickest way to pick up the introductory quest "Those Who Would Rule" is from the Crown Store.

The Three Districts and Their Factions:

1. The Parch (Glittering Goad)

   - A desert-like district ruled by the Glittering Goad faction, a meritocracy that derives its power from immense wealth. They operate Fargrave's lucrative auction house.

   - Leader: Tachien

2. Sorrow's Friend (The Ruckus)

   - A district built on martial strength and protection but overrun with darkness and grief. This area reflects its tumultuous state, making it a challenging zone for adventurers.

   - Leader: Kharakhal Moon-Eye

3. Skittering Precinct (One Thousand Eyes)

   - A district dominated by spies and nightcrawlers. The One Thousand Eyes faction thrives on secrets and knowledge, making them a formidable force in Fargrave.

   - Leader: Molto the Whisperer

Each district features unique challenges, including bosses, skirmishes (public-style mini-events), and faction-specific relics that unlock deeper exploration within their respective areas.

Activities in the Night Market

The Night Market offers a variety of activities to keep players engaged:

1. Skirmishes: These are public-style mini-events with specific goals that can only be completed while the skirmish is active.

2. Four-Player Boss Instances: Each district has a challenging boss located within a specialized four-player instance. While these encounters are designed for groups, skilled solo players may attempt them as well.

3. 12-Player Trial: The Opulent Ordeal: This new trial introduces group-based content featuring the formidable Web Eater boss. Completing this trial unlocks a unique trophy and bust furnishings as rewards.

4. Races and Puzzles: For those seeking something different from combat-focused content, the Night Market also includes races and "oddities" that cater to puzzle enthusiasts.

Rewards Overview

The Night Market offers a treasure trove of rewards for players who participate in its activities and build rapport with its factions. Here's what you can look forward to:

Faction Rewards

Each faction provides unique rewards based on your standing with them, which you can increase by completing quests and activities for that faction. However, you can only ally with one faction per account each time the Night Market appears in-game. Choose wisely!

- Monster Sets: Each faction has a unique monster set tied to their respective bosses.

- Titles and Dye Colors:

  - Glittering Goad: Title – "Priceless," Dye Color – "Glittering Gold."

  - Ruckus: Title – "Firebrand," Dye Color – "Ruckus Rust Dye."

  - One Thousand Eyes: Title – "The Scurrying," Dye Color – "Thousand Eyes Ichor."

Unlocking all three sets of titles and dyes will require participating in three separate iterations of the Night Market, as you can only align with one faction per season.

Other Rewards

- New Titles: In addition to faction-specific titles, three more titles can be unlocked through achievements:

  - Diamantine (Achievement: Bedlam Across the Planes)

  - Pathwalker (Achievement: Essence of War)

  - Interplanar Victor (Achievement: Night Marketeer)

- Momentos and Furnishings: Each faction offers a unique momento that also comes as a furnishing item. These are mailed to you once you've earned enough favor with that faction.

- Achievement Furnishings: A total of 20 new achievement furnishings will be available for purchase from faction vendors. Each vendor's offerings are unique to their faction, so take time to review their inventory before committing.

The Night's Den: Your New Player Home

One of the most exciting rewards from the introductory quest is your very own player home, The Night's Den. This beautiful home is located within the Night Market and serves as a convenient port into the event zone for free during its duration.

The Night's Den features a built-in bank safe. Once your faction rep is high enough, you can upgrade it, and it will allow you to access your own bank and guild banks.

This is also an interesting room called Currency Vault. The Currency Vault dynamically displays the amount of TESO gold you currently have. As you earn more gold, the amount shown inside the vault increases. Conversely, when you spend gold, the amount inside the vault decreases.

It's rare for ESO to provide such a meaningful reward at the start of new content, making this home a standout addition to your collection.

Seasonal Updates and Future Plans

The Night Market will evolve over time based on player feedback. Activities that players enjoy will be expanded upon, while those that receive less favorable responses may be retooled or replaced. This ensures that the market remains a dynamic and ever-changing environment.

Additionally, Season Zero introduces other exciting updates:

- 12 Blue Fire Skill Styles for Dragonknight Class: These will be available for purchase from Stylemaster vendors located in Alliance War bases in Cyrodiil and Kvatch.

- Gold Coast Bazaar Seasonal Inventory: Starting March 9th with Update 49, the Gold Coast Bazaar will feature seasonal merchandise tied to Season Zero's Dawn and Dusk theme.

Final Thoughts

The Night Market represents an exciting step forward for ESO with its innovative approach to event zones, player-driven evolution, and diverse activities. Whether you're drawn to its challenging bosses, unique rewards, or engaging lore, there's something for everyone in this vibrant marketplace.

If you're planning your strategy for Season Zero, take time to explore each faction's offerings before committing. With three iterations of the market needed to unlock all achievements and rewards, careful planning will ensure you make the most of your experience.
