Tears of Blood Glyph and Malignant Rings in Diablo 4

By Ansley2023-12-07

Diablo 4 has a seasonal system that will introduce new content and challenges every few months. One of the new features in Season 2 of Diablo 4 is the Tears of Blood Glyph, a unique Diablo 4 item that can enhance your character's power and versatility. And there are Malignant Rings, a set of five class-specific unique rings that are themed around hearts. In this article, I will explain the Tears of Blood Glyph and the Malignant Rings, how they work, and how to get them.

What is the Tears of Blood Glyph?

The Tears of Blood Glyph is a unique glyph with a powerful effect: for every five core stats purchased within range, you gain +2% increased damage. Core stats are the main attributes of your character, such as strength, dexterity, intelligence, and willpower. The Tears of Blood Glyph also grants a bonus to all rare nodes within range, which are the nodes that provide more specialized buffs. The bonus increases by 10% every ten levels, up to a maximum of 240% at level 200.

The Tears of Blood Glyph is a great item for any character who wants to increase their damage output and optimize their build. The glyph scales with your core stats, providing more value to the nodes that match your class. For example, the glyph will benefit the intelligence nodes for the Sorceress and Necromancer, the willpower nodes for the Druid, the dexterity nodes for the Rogue, and the strength nodes for the Barbarian.

How to Get the Tears of Blood Glyph?

The Tears of Blood Glyph is a seasonal item that can only be obtained during Season 2 of Diablo 4, also known as the Season of Blood. The Season of Blood is a story-driven event that will take you to the blood-soaked areas of Sanctuary, where you will face new enemies, quests, and challenges.

To get the Tears of Blood Glyph, you must complete the Abattoir of Zir dungeon, which is the final reward of the Season of Blood quest chain. The Abattoir of Zir is a new endgame activity that will test your skills and build with waves of enemies and bosses.

To access the Abattoir of Zir dungeon, you will need to complete the following steps:

•  Complete the Season of Journey, which is a series of seven chapters that will guide you through the main features and content of Diablo 4. You will need to complete various objectives, such as leveling up, crafting items, exploring areas, and defeating enemies and bosses.

•  Complete the Season of Blood quest chain, which is a series of seven quests that will take you to the bloodiest regions of Sanctuary, such as the Blood Marsh, the Blood Moor, and the Blood Temple. You will need to complete various tasks, such as collecting blood samples, forging blood sigils, and fighting blood cultists and blood demons.

•  Craft a Blood-Forged Sigil, which is a special item that will allow you to enter the Abattoir of Zir dungeon. You will need to collect 60,000 Diablo 4 gold and 800 sigil power, which are materials that can be obtained from completing quests, killing enemies, and opening chests. You will also need to visit an occultist vendor, who can craft the Blood-Forged Sigil for you.

•  Travel to the Ked Bardu Waypoint, which is located in the Ked Bardu region of the Dry Steppes. You will find a Blood Portal near the waypoint, which is a red portal that will transport you to the Abattoir of Zir dungeon. You will need to use the Blood-Forged Sigil to activate the portal and enter the dungeon.

Once you enter the Abattoir of Zir dungeon, you will have 10 minutes to complete the event.

The Abattoir of Zir dungeon will have 25 tiers of increasing difficulty, where the enemies and bosses will become stronger and more challenging. Depending on your level and gear, you can choose the tier you want to enter. The higher the tier, the better the reward. You can also compete with other players on the leaderboard, which will show your rank, tier, and time for the event. You can also compare your performance with your friends and clan members.

The Abattoir of Zir dungeon will be available until the end of Season 2, which is expected to last for three months. After that, the dungeon and the Tears of Blood Glyph will be gone, and a new season with new content and challenges will begin. Therefore, you should try to get the Tears of Blood Glyph as soon as possible and enjoy its benefits while you can.

What Are the Malignant Rings and How to Get the Malignant Rings?

The Malignant Rings are some returned and reworked Malignant Powers from Season of the Malignant and are immediately available in both Seasonal and Eternal realms. Malignant powers were a boost in a Diablo 4 previous season that granted you various abilities. Those Malignant Powers are incredibly strong. In the season of blood, you can expect to find five of these powers in unique rings that harness the power of Malignant.

The Malignant Rings have a class-specific effect, such as triggering a skill automatically, increasing a skill's damage, or reducing a skill's cooldown. The Malignant Rings are designed to complement the class's playstyle and abilities and to create new and exciting builds.

The Malignant Rings are powerful for any character experimenting with different hearts and skills. The rings offer a lot of customization and variety, as you can mix and match different hearts and effects. However, using the rings also requires much caution and strategy to adapt to the changing situations.

To get the Malignant Ring for your class, you will need to defeat the Echo of Varshan, a corrupted priest who is the final boss of the Season of Blood quest chain. You can find him in the Malignant Burrow dungeon, which is located near the Tree of Whispers in the Hawezar region. You will need to collect some Diablo 4 Malignant Body Parts from completing Whispers, killing Grotesque Debtors, or exchanging them at the Alchemist. Since the Malignant Rings are Unique Items, defeating Varshan is not guaranteed to get you one first try. Presumably, they can also drop randomly like any other Unique, but that's yet to be confirmed.
