The season also features a new pinnacle boss, Malphas, who is the season's main antagonist, who can manipulate metal and machinery, and who has corrupted the Construct and its creations. And there are many new items, such as Governing Stones and Tuning Stones.

The Construct

This is a new mechanic, a powerful and mysterious device created by Zoltun Kulle, a mad wizard from Diablo 3. The Construct can be found in the Vaults, a new dungeon type that is randomly generated and filled with treasures and dangers. The Construct can grant the players various bonuses and effects, depending on how they interact with it. The Construct can also be corrupted by Malphas, a new enemy who is trying to use the Construct for his own nefarious purposes.

The Malphas

It is a new pinnacle boss, who is the season's main antagonist. Malphas is a demon lord who can manipulate metal and machinery and has corrupted the Construct and its creations. Malphas can be found in the Throne of the Eternal Sun, the final stage of the Gauntlet, a new weekly challenge that tests the players' skills and builds. Malphas can also appear in other dungeons and events as he tries to stop the players from reaching the Construct and its secrets.

Governing Stones and Tuning Stones

Governing Stones and Tuning Stones are special Diablo 4 items you can use to customize your Seneschal Companion, a new seasonal companion you can obtain in Season of the Construct of Diablo 4. The Seneschal Companion is a mechanical ally that can fight and support you in combat, using different abilities and effects depending on the stones you equip.

Governing Stones determine the type of attacks that your Seneschal Companion can use. You can equip up to two Governing Stones, one for each attack. There are 12 different Governing Stones, each with unique abilities, such as Firefly, Impale, or Gyrate.

Tuning Stones augment the Governing Stones and provide additional utility to your Seneschal Companion. You can equip up to three Tuning Stones for each Governing Stone, for a total of six. There are 27 different Tuning Stones, each with a different effect, such as increasing damage, adding elemental damage, or healing you.

You can obtain Governing Stones and Tuning Stones from the Vaults, a new dungeon type that is randomly generated and filled with treasures and dangers. You can also craft Governing Stones at the Jeweler using Shattered Stone, which drops from enemy Constructs inside the Vaults.

To use Governing Stones and Tuning Stones, you need to access the Seneschal Companion menu, which is located in the Gatehall, a new hub under Kehjistan that serves as your base of operations in the season. You can equip, unequip, and swap the stones and fuse duplicate stones to level them up and increase their power.

Governing Stones and Tuning Stones can help you optimize your Seneschal Companion and build and adapt to different situations and playstyles. You can experiment and explore different combinations and effects and find the ones that suit you the best. Governing Stones and Tuning Stones are fun and rewarding features that enhance your gaming experience and enjoyment in Season of the Construct of Diablo 4.
