PoE 3.28 Breach Farming Strategy – 20+ Divines Per Hour

Breach remains one of the most exciting and rewarding mechanics for farming currency in Path of Exile. This strategy focuses on maximum Breach juicing—no tower defense mechanics, no complex setups—just the classic approach of spawning huge numbers of monsters in maps and turning them into raw currency.

With the help of the Mirage mechanic, this strategy becomes even stronger because it can duplicate your juicing investments, significantly increasing overall rewards. The goal is simple: maximize monster density and currency drops while running highly optimized maps. Below is a breakdown of the full setup, shared by Fubgun on his YouTube channel, including scarabs, map rolling, atlas tree, and expected profit.

If you're looking to accelerate your currency progression, another option is purchasing PoE Divine Orbs directly. Many players choose reliable platforms like MmoGah to quickly obtain the currency they need for crafting, trading, or building high-end gear.

Strategy Overview

The core idea behind this strategy is simple: stack as many Breaches as possible in your maps and create extremely dense monster encounters. More monsters mean more loot, and when combined with currency multipliers and duplication mechanics, the results can be incredibly profitable.

This farming method focuses primarily on raw currency drops, so tools like Currency Chisels are used to increase rewards. Beyond the profit, it’s also one of the most enjoyable ways to farm in the game because the maps are packed with enemies and constant action.

Scarab Setup

The scarab setup is an essential part of maximizing Breach encounters. The recommended configuration includes:

  • 1 Wisp Scarab
  • 1 Resonant Cascade Scarab
  • 2 Instability Scarabs
  • 1 Bloodlines Scarab

This setup uses three Breach-related scarabs plus Bloodlines to dramatically increase monster density and rewards. However, Bloodlines can occasionally become expensive. If the price rises too high (for example, over one Divine Orb), you can replace it with another Wisp Scarab. Keep in mind that replacing Bloodlines will reduce overall loot—potentially by about half—but it also cuts the map cost roughly in half. It’s a trade-off that may be worthwhile depending on the current market prices.

Map Rolling and Choice

For this strategy, you should run Tier 16.5 maps. You can also run a full Mirage map, which duplicates your map but removes the multiplier bonuses. While this does replicate the map itself, the Mirage mechanic already tends to return two or three additional Breaches, meaning you get about 50% of the value back anyway with a regular Mirage setup. Because of that, many players prefer the 16.5 map approach for better overall scaling.

Map Mod Priorities

When rolling maps, focus on High “More Currency” modifiers and High Pack Size. Pack size is extremely important because it directly increases the number of monsters spawned during Breaches. Note that “More Currency” modifiers were heavily nerfed in the latest patch, so the maximum is now around 90%. Generally, rolling maps with 50% or more currency bonus and a good pack size are sufficient. After rolling the map:

  • Use Chisels to increase quality.
  • Ensure the map has six modifiers.
  • Apply additional currency if needed to improve the roll.

For example, a strong map might look like 40% Pack Size and 97% More Currency. Once you reach values like this, the map is ready to run.

Astrolabe Setup

This strategy uses the Breach Astrolabe, which is absolutely essential for maximizing rewards. The Astrolabe makes every Breach more rewarding, but it also increases the difficulty of Breaches based on how many maps you’ve already completed with it. By the time you reach the final maps in the Astrolabe cycle, Breaches become extremely tanky and dangerous. Because of this, the strategy can be quite difficult early on. Even with a Headhunter, the setup can feel rough at first. The strategy becomes much smoother once your character reaches higher power levels. For example, running it with gear such as Headhunter, Nimis, a strong six-link bow, and a high-end quiver makes the content significantly easier. With proper gear, you can comfortably run these maps while pushing toward level 100, since the strategy also provides excellent experience.

Best Maps for the Strategy

The best map for this strategy is Dunes. Dunes works extremely well because it has wide open areas, which allow Breaches to expand fully and spawn the maximum number of monsters. Another viable option is Canyon, but Dunes generally performs better due to its layout.

Some players also consider farming maps with valuable divination cards - Scrying setups can yield cards like The Apothecary or Seven Years Bad Luck. Tower is another option because it drops cards like The Nurse and The Patient. However, Tower can be awkward to run due to its layout, which makes it less comfortable for this particular strategy.

Atlas Tree Setup

The Atlas Tree is fairly straightforward. If you are using Astrolabes, it is extremely important to take the node that prevents the Astrolabe from consuming your preferred map (Dunes). Without this node, your Astrolabe may remove the map you are trying to farm.

Beyond that, the tree focuses on all Breach nodes, map modifier effect nodes, and Beyond nodes. Beyond is particularly strong here because it adds even more monsters to already dense maps.

For Eldritch Altars, the strategy typically uses Blue Altars. These provide increased item quantity and currency duplication bonuses. Red Altars can also be used if your character can handle the additional difficulty, especially for Chaos Inoculation builds. However, Blue Altars are generally safer and more consistent.

Profit Potential

This strategy is extremely profitable. Based on current market prices, it can generate over 20 Divines per hour after costs. Importantly, this estimate does not include additional value from Breach-related items such as Graft Blood, which can be used on gambling trees for potential high-value rewards like Headhunter, Mageblood, and raw currency drops. Including these bonuses can increase total profit even further.

For early league farming, earning 20+ Divines per hour is exceptional. When a Mirror of Kalandra costs around 250 Divines, this strategy can theoretically generate more than one mirror per day for highly efficient farmers.

Summary

This Breach juicing strategy is extremely profitable, highly action-packed, and is one of the best currency farming methods early in a league. While it requires a very strong character to run comfortably, the rewards make it well worth the effort.
