Ritual is one of the most reliable mechanics for farming currency in Path of Exile 2, especially in the unstable economy of patch 0.3. With Divine Orbs dropping in price and Exalted Orbs more expensive than usual, farming Omens through Ritual remains a steady and profitable strategy. This guide covers everything you need to know to maximize your profits from Rituals.

Why Ritual Farming Works

The current economy is unpredictable, but Omens are always in demand for crafting. Their value remains steady regardless of fluctuations in Divine or Exalted prices. By focusing on Omens, you can maintain consistent profits even when the market is unstable.

Ritual Farming Basics

In Path of Exile 2, Rituals are a straightforward mechanic: clear the ritual, defeat as many monsters inside the circle as possible, and gather maximum tribute.

A key strategy is deferring items instead of buying them immediately. Deferring costs far less tribute and lets you keep rerolling rewards, increasing your chances of stacking valuable options. Over time, this significantly boosts your overall returns.

The primary goal of Ritual farming is to collect Omens. They remain in high demand and sell for strong prices on the market. Efficient farming ensures a steady stream of currency to accelerate your progression.

Ritual Atlas Tree Setup

The Ritual Atlas Tree is relatively simple, but a few key nodes are essential for maximizing efficiency.

Ritual Atlas Tree Setup
Spreading Darkness: Grants four Ritual Altars instead of three. This is crucial, as more altars mean more tribute and a better chance to defer rewards effectively.

Tempting Offers: Adds additional Ritual Altars to your maps, allowing you to reroll favors twice. This greatly increases the odds of obtaining Omens—our primary target. It also reduces the tribute cost of rerolling favors by 25%, a significant benefit for conserving resources.

Ominous Portance: An essential node that speeds up monster spawns and doubles the chance for Ritual Favors to become Omens. Since Omens are the core of this strategy, this passive is mandatory.

He Approaches vs. Promise of Devotion: While He Approaches increases the odds of revived monsters being rare or magic, Promise of Devotion is usually superior. It makes favors appear sooner and cuts the cost of deferring by 50%, which saves large amounts of tribute over time.

General Atlas Tree Focus

For the wider Atlas Tree, prioritize buff size and the effect of explicit modifiers on Waystones. These are the key factors that amplify Ritual efficiency. Pack size bonuses, magic monster density, and map pack size should also be emphasized, as more monsters inside the ritual circle directly translate into more tribute.

If you prefer variety, you can drop some pack size nodes in favor of mechanics like Essences or Storm Boxes. However, for pure Ritual farming efficiency, allocate points toward bonuses that increase precursor towers, explicit modifiers, and pack size.

What Tablets to Use

The most important tablet for this setup is Freedom of Faith, which allows you to reroll favors at Ritual Altars twice as often. This greatly increases your chances of finding valuable rewards. Best of all, it currently costs only about five Exalted, making it affordable and highly efficient.

Combine Freedom of Faith with Ritual Tablets for Omens. Ideally, you want tablets that increase rare monster spawns and provide a 15–25% increased chance for Ritual Favors to become Omens. While 15% is the lowest roll, aim for tablets closer to 20–25% for maximum efficiency—but avoid overpaying. Together, these tablets improve your odds of acquiring Omens and add rare monsters to your maps, boosting tribute gains.

Another option is Visions of Paradise, though it is costly at roughly two Divines each. This tablet is worthwhile only if you have a large budget and are comfortable with higher risk. Otherwise, stick with Freedom of Faith and Omen tablets.

How to Use Visions of Paradise

If you choose to run Visions of Paradise, it’s ideal to have at least a double tower setup, and a triple tower setup is recommended. If you're not using Visions of Paradise, you can simply use Freedom of Faith in combination with Ritual Tablets for Omens and add even more Omen tablets to tower 1 below. This will help you get a good number of Ritual maps between the tower 1 and tower 2, which you can farm one by one.

triple tower setup
When using Visions of Paradise, it’s recommended to activate it along with Ritual Tablets first, and combine it with Freedom of Faith in your first tower. After this, place and activate it all together. Once activated, all the maps around you will receive irradiation status. When you complete these maps, instead of them being closed, they will lose irradiation status, allowing you to farm them again. You can use the second tower to buff your maps with irradiation once more.

From the second tower, you can use irradiation tablets together with almond tablets again. After this, you will be able to complete all the maps and use the third tower to do the same, completing the maps once more. This way, using Visions of Paradise allows you to complete your maps up to three times for the price of one.

This efficiency is why Visions of Paradise commands a high price. While it maximizes profit potential, remember to clear irradiation before reapplying it with another tower, or the mechanic won’t work correctly.

Valuable Omens and Rewards

Rituals can yield several exceptionally lucrative Omens:

●Omen of Homogenizing – ≈81 Exalted, commonly obtained through Rituals
●Omen of Wheatling – ≈100 Exalted (≈2 Divines)
●Omen of Dexter Raier – ≈130 Exalted

Alongside these premium drops, mid-tier Omens also provide consistent value:

●Omen of Recombination – ≈12 Exalted
●Omen of Amelioration – ≈9 Exalted
●Omen of Corruption – ≈6 Exalted

While not as game-changing as the top-tier Omens, these still contribute reliable supplemental income and should not be overlooked.

Taken together, the mix of jackpot-level rewards and steady mid-value gains makes Ritual farming one of the most profitable strategies in the current economy.

Delirium Buffs

Adding Delirium is an excellent way to increase monster density:

1. Liquid Paranoia – Adds extra rare monsters. Although the modifier isn’t displayed, the effect is active and provides a solid boost.
2.Diluted Liquid Guild – If Paranoia feels too expensive, this is a cheaper alternative that increases pack size. Both work well for extra currency, but Paranoia is generally more effective.
3.Preserved Vertebra – Grants one additional, nearly free bonus.

Stacking too many modifiers can be dangerous if your build can’t handle it, so avoid overly punishing mods like Well of Souls

Abyss Buff

Abyss is a straightforward but profitable addition to Ritual farming. You can select nodes that increase monster spawns or open Abyssal Depths, both of which raise monster density and, in turn, tribute gains.

What to Buy and How

When farming Rituals:

  1. Clear all Rituals first before interacting.
  2. Defer valuable rewards like Omens or strong rares. Avoid wasting tribute on basic or low-value items (e.g., Omen of Gambling).
  3. Reroll rewards until you see Omens repeatedly, then defer them again.
  4. Buy out rewards only when you run out of rerolls. Prioritize the most profitable Omens, then spend leftover tribute on basic currency.
  5. Always check rares—you may find excellent crafting bases or gear worth selling.

Example: From a single map, you might pull an Omen of Homogenizing Exaltation (~82 Exalted) and an Omen of Crystallization (~16 Exalted). Even mid-value Omens quickly add up to solid profits.

Farm All the Divines

By consistently farming Rituals, deferring the right items, and buffing maps with modifiers for monster density, you’ll create a reliable income stream. Alongside Omens, you’ll also frequently drop valuable items like Divines, Exalted Orbs, Chaos Orbs, and rare crafting bases.

Ritual is currently one of the strongest farming mechanics in Path of Exile 2. You can run it on its own for stability or combine it with mechanics like Expedition or Breach for even more profit. Either way, it’s a great strategy to farm currency efficiently in patch 0.3.
