Starting your journey in Aion 2 can feel overwhelming with its massive array of quests, dungeons, and progression systems. The good news? You don’t have to master it all on day one. Follow the Main Story to Level 45
When you first start Aion 2, focus on the main story quests marked by yellow icons. The Main Story Quest (MSQ) will take you through most of the leveling process and eventually bring you to the level cap of 45.
Do not worry about completing every side activity immediately. Green markers and other icons represent side quests and map content that can be completed along the way or revisited later.
However, following only the MSQ can eventually stop your progress. Around levels 22 and 32, you need to fill the Ascension Gauge before continuing. Side quests and other map-completion activities are the main ways to fill it.
For players focused on leveling as quickly as possible, a combination of five sealed dungeons and side quests can be used to reach the required progression efficiently.
Here are the min-max speed routes for the Elyos side. When the main story quest takes you to these areas, focus on completing the sealed dungeons or side quests in the order marked on the map, from 1 to 5.
Complete Krao Cave When It Unlocks
Around level 22, you will unlock your first Expedition Dungeon, Krao Cave. Completing an Expedition Dungeon is required to continue the MSQ.
Krao Cave is designed as an easy introduction to the game's dungeon system. The party is scaled, meaning it can be completed solo.
One useful tip is to avoid immediately claiming the dungeon rewards. Opening the reward cube consumes Odyle Energy, so saving that energy for later dungeons can be more useful. Accidentally claiming the rewards is not a major problem, though.
Manage Your Gear While Leveling
As you level, you will quickly collect equipment that becomes outdated. Instead of keeping everything, old gear that is no longer an upgrade can be dismantled for enhancement stones.
It is recommended to upgrade gear to +5 before dissolving it when appropriate, allowing the materials to be recovered. During the leveling process, focus enhancement resources mainly on your weapon and guard rather than spending heavily on temporary equipment. Complete the Map After Reaching Level 45
Once you reach the level cap, there is plenty of horizontal content to work through. This includes:

Complete Your Daily and Weekly Content
After reaching level 45, daily and weekly activities become an important part of progression.
Daily Duties
Duties are quick daily quests, with up to five available each day. Their rewards can vary, so choose duties according to the materials you need. It is particularly recommended to prioritize Soul Crystal rewards when possible.
Command Scrolls
Command Scrolls provide kill missions and additional rewards. They can be purchased from merchants in major cities and the Abyss base.
You can stack the scrolls and complete them later, but the vendors only allow purchases once per week, so remember to buy them before the weekly reset.
Conquest and Transcendence Dungeons
These dungeons are a major part of character progression and consume Odyle Energy. Because Odyle Energy regenerates over time, avoid letting it reach the cap if you want to progress efficiently.
Daily Dungeon
Despite its name, the Daily Dungeon is actually a weekly activity. Players receive 14 entries per week, with another 14 becoming available after the weekly reset.
Ascension Trial
The Ascension Trial is another short solo weekly dungeon, offering three entries per week. Make sure to complete the available entries before the reset. Be careful, as dying can cause you to lose the rewards.
Nightmare
Nightmare is a solo boss encounter. Players receive two entry charges per day, with a cap of 14. Unlike the Ascension Trial, repeatedly dying in Nightmare does not cause the same concern about losing rewards.
Shugo Events
Shugo events are short minigames that appear every hour. They require keys to claim rewards, and players should keep their key count below the cap so they do not waste new daily keys.
