As the Burning Crusade (TBC) Anniversary celebration sweeps across the gaming world, Azeroth has once again burst into vibrant life. Countless players have returned to explore classic dungeons and compete fiercely for rare resources. On this competitive virtual battlefield, efficient gold farming has become a hot topic among the player base. For Rogues and Druids in particular, choosing to stealth farm in dungeons represents a smart and efficient path to wealth accumulation.

This article provides an in-depth analysis of how to efficiently farm gold in The Steamvault—a route that takes just 6 minutes per run, nets 250-300 gold consistently, and faces zero competition—helping players fill their coffers during the TBC Anniversary event.

Stealth Gold Farming

Why The Steamvault Is a Gold Farming Hotspot

During the original TBC era, many players amassed significant gold rewards through stealth farming strategies in Sethekk Halls and Mana-Tombs. However, for Druids who also possess Mining and Engineering skills, the Steamvault becomes an even more attractive farming destination.

The Steamvault, located in Zangarmarsh, stands out as a popular dungeon for efficient gold farming due to its stable resource output and low competition pressure. It is particularly suitable for players with Mining, Engineering, or Herbalism professions.

This dungeon not only contains abundant mineral resources but also features consistent Gas Cloud spawns. On each run, players can almost always harvest one Gas Cloud (using a Gas Extractor to collect Water Particles), two Fel Iron deposits, and two Adamantite deposits. Among all potential mining nodes, only one Adamantite node is difficult to reach due to its awkward position—fortunately, its spawn rate is extremely low and can be practically ignored.

Efficient Farming Route Planning

♦ Step 1: Stealthily Harvest the First Node

After entering the instance, ignore the first giant on the left. The target is the second giant on the left. Approach the area in front of this second giant. Wait until the giant patrols away, then hug the wall tightly, sneak into the corner, and quickly mine the hidden Fel Iron node.

♦ Step 2: Swim to the Boss Room

After mining, jump directly into the water and swim toward the second boss's room. While swimming, keep an eye on patrolling monsters above and carefully avoid their line of sight.

♦ Step 3: Harvest Everything in the Boss Room

Upon reaching the second boss's room, collect the three fixed resource points:

• One Fel Iron node

• One Adamantite node

• One Gas Cloud (extract using a Gas Extractor)

♦ Step 4: Return and Reset

After collecting everything, swim back along the same route to the instance entrance. Exit and reset the dungeon, then begin the next cycle. Experienced players can complete the entire run in just 6-7 minutes.

Additional Rewards and Practical Tips

Beyond minerals and Gas Clouds, the Steamvault also has a chance to drop various precious gems and primal elemental materials. These items fetch respectable prices on the Auction House, providing players with extra income. Additionally, players with Engineering skill at 350 or above can craft Explosives and Blasting Charges to open hidden chests, securing even more generous rewards.

For Non-Stealth Classes: Boosting Mining Skill

For players without stealth classes, efficient mining in the outdoor world presents numerous challenges. However, they can increase their Mining skill points through the following methods:

♦ Step 1: Craft a Mining Engineering Helmet

Create a Mining Engineering Helmet through Engineering, which provides +5 Mining skill points.

♦ Step 2: Enchant Gloves

Enchant gloves with "Advanced Mining" to gain an additional +5 Mining skill points.

♦ Step 3: Mine Higher-Level Ore

With these two items combined, players gain a total of +10 Mining skill points, allowing them to mine advanced ores like Adamantite even when their base Mining skill is still below the required level.

This enables players to begin collecting Adamantite earlier than normally possible.
