When interacting with it, a quest window appears, allowing you to attempt to pull a sword from the ice. While the attempt initially fails, it grants you a temporary buff called “Testament,” which challenges you to prove your strength by defeating worthy enemies.
Step 3: Prepare Before Activating the Buff
Timing is crucial. Before interacting with the sword, ensure that a rare enemy is about to spawn nearby. This preparation is important because you must defeat either two rare enemies, or one rare enemy plus the world boss.
Additionally, note the following:
- The Testament buff cannot be canceled once activated.
- Rare enemies have a 3-minute protection window after spawning, during which they cannot be attacked.
- Plan your route and timing accordingly to maximize efficiency.
Step 4: Defeat a Rare Enemy
Once the buff is active, quickly move to the rare spawn location. After defeating the rare enemy, you will gain a second buff called “Vanquishing,” which lasts for 30 minutes. To progress, you must obtain a second stack of Vanquishing while the first is still active.
Step 5: Secure the Second Stack
At this point, you have two options:
- Defeat another rare enemy (if time permits), or
- Challenge the world boss (recommended if time is limited)
The world boss can be accessed via a portal located in the same bottom-right area of Val. After entering, proceed down the stairs to reach the boss arena.
