FC 27: Key Dates to Remember for Launch

EA Sports FC 27 is just around the corner, and several key dates will mark the beginning of the new Ultimate Team cycle. Important events include the final database update for FC 26, the launch of the Web App, Early Access, the global release, rewards distribution, and the first FUT Champions weekend. September 10: FC 27 Final Database

The FC 26 Web App is expected to go offline on September 9, with the FC 27 final database following on September 10.

While player ratings are already available, the final database matters most for PlayStyles, which can significantly affect a player's value and effectiveness, making September 10 an important date for squad builders and traders.

Once the final database is available, players can more accurately identify cheap meta options, hidden gems, and potential starter-team choices.
 

September 16: Web App and TOTW 1

One of the key dates for Ultimate Team players is September 16, which marks the launch day of the Web App and Team of the Week 1.

This is the first opportunity to access the new club, claim returning-player rewards, open starter packs, complete early Squad Building Challenges, and begin building a squad before the full game arrives.

It is also an important day for early trading. With the Transfer Market just opening, players looking to build their FUT coin balance should pay close attention to player prices and market movements.
 

September 17: Companion App and Early Access

On Thursday, September 17, the FC 27 Companion App becomes available on iOS and Android. The app allows players to manage squads, complete SBCs, monitor the Transfer Market, and handle other Ultimate Team activities from a mobile device.

New Zealand Trick

September 17 also marks the start of early access, and there is a regional workaround that may allow players to get in earlier by switching their console location to New Zealand.

By changing the console region to New Zealand, eligible players may be able to access FC 27 at around 1:00 p.m. UK time on September 17, rather than waiting until midnight on September 18.
 

September 18: Ultimate Edition Early Access

The major early-access date arrives on Friday, September 18.

Players with the Ultimate Edition or Ultimate Plus Edition can enter FC 27 and begin the full Ultimate Team grind ahead of the standard edition launch.

The opening rewards also include a 1-of-5 Hall of FUT player pick. Players can also receive a guaranteed 85+ International Icon Pack, providing an important boost to their starting squads.

For anyone still deciding which Hall of FUT player to select, this is also the point where that choice becomes particularly important for shaping the early team.
 

September 21–24: Early Rewards

The first Squad Battles rewards are expected on September 21. These early rewards can be particularly useful for building up a starting squad and accumulating resources.

Team of the Week 2 is expected around September 23, followed by the first major Division Rivals rewards around September 24. However, the exact Rivals reward structure may differ from previous games because FC 27 is moving toward a more game-by-game reward system.

It is recommended to pay close attention to early Team of the Week players. If a strong meta player appears in the first Team of the Week and has limited supply, their price could potentially increase as more players enter the market.
 

September 25: Worldwide Release

The FC 27 launch calendar reaches its biggest date on Friday, September 25, when the Standard Edition releases worldwide.

Millions of additional players will enter Ultimate Team, bringing major changes to the Transfer Market. More players, packs, SBCs, and market activity should create significant price fluctuations, making the first full-release weekend one of the most important periods of the FC 27 cycle.

September 28–October 2: Squad Battles, TOTW and FUT Champions

The early Ultimate Team schedule continues after the worldwide launch:

• September 30: Team of the Week 3

• October 1: Division Rivals rewards

• October 2: FUT Champions Starts

• October 4: First FUT Champions weekend

The first FUT Champions weekend will be particularly important because players will begin identifying which cards and playstyles are truly effective in competitive matches.

As the meta becomes clearer, some previously overlooked players could experience significant price increases as competitive players begin purchasing them for their squads.
 

FC Points Distribution

Players who purchased qualifying editions should also pay attention to the FC Points distribution schedule.

The first 2,000 FC Points are granted when the player first logs into FC 27. Ultimate Edition players are then scheduled to receive another 2,000 FC Points on October 15 and November 15, while Ultimate Plus Edition owners receive additional installments later, including December 15, 2026 and January 15, 2027.

Because the FC Points are distributed over several months, deciding when and where to spend them can be especially important during the early stages of Ultimate Team.
