Leveling up in The Elder Scrolls Online can be quite intricate, and everyone has their own preferred method. In this guide, instead of claiming there's a definitive best way, Spopes will share insights from his 10+ years of experience with the game. From this decade of gameplay, he has learned which strategies to embrace and which to avoid—not just for reaching level 50 quickly, but for maintaining your sanity during the grind. If you're looking for a straightforward way to do ESO power leveling, keep reading!

Recommended Methods for Reaching Level 50 Fast

The most effective way to reach level 50 fast is to start by running dolmans until around level 10. After that, mix in some group dungeons. Be sure to equip training gear, use XP consumables, and consider participating in events like Jubilee and New Life Festival that provide double XP.

An alternative method is Spellscar in Craglorn, but it requires high DPS, which can be challenging for new characters. With dolmans, you can benefit from stronger players—just land a single hit, and you'll earn XP for the kill. Dolmans are incredibly easy and often treated as an AFK activity; you'll see players camping there, sometimes for entire weekends, reaching level 50 without much effort.

You can also form groups and hop from dolman to dolman, which appear every 2 to 3 minutes, allowing for rapid leveling.

Maximize Your XP

Here are methods to maximize your XP regardless of your chosen method.

1. Training Gear: Aim to acquire training gear. Some players stick with level one gear until they reach level 50, while others upgrade every 10 levels. Whatever you choose, try to get your gear to at least purple quality to enhance the XP it provides. You can buy training gear, ask others for assistance, or have a skilled crafter create it for you.

2. Consumables: Utilize items like Psijic Ambrosia and XP scrolls for additional XP boosts. You can only use one at a time, but they stack with event bonuses, providing up to 150% extra XP. Combining these with training gear can significantly speed up your leveling process.

Why Dolmans Are Highly Recommended

Dolmans are the best option for several reasons:

1. Passive Gameplay: You don't need to be powerful; just hit enemies once before they die to contribute. This makes it a great option for solo players, as you can still cooperate with others.

2. Accessibility: Unlike Spellscar, where you compete with other players for monster kills and need high DPS, dolmans allow you to level up more easily, especially as a low-level character.

Dolmans, also known as Dark Anchors, are found in every main zone, except for a few isolated areas. Alik'r Desert and Auridon are the two best zones for running dolmans, especially Alik'r Desert, which is particularly popular, with players consistently running dolmans there, creating a lively atmosphere.

Consider Grouping

Although this video focuses on solo play, it is advisable to think about grouping for leveling up. Grouping in ESO is casual; you can join and leave without any pressure to socialize. Simply type "X" in the chat, and someone will invite you. If you want to leave the group, just type "GG" in the chat. Even if you prefer to play solo, joining a group can often be more efficient.

Group Dungeons

When it comes to grouping, group dungeons offer a fantastic way to gain a substantial XP boost for your leveling character. These dungeons reset daily, but you can only access them once you reach level 10. So, focus on leveling your character to 10 at dolmans before starting to queue for these dungeons.

One important thing to note is that when you're in a group, you can't queue for another dungeon. Therefore, it's beneficial to go to a location like Auridon, where the dungeons can be completed relatively quickly. Make sure to tag each enemy, and as soon as you finish the first dungeon, you can queue for another one immediately.

Since these are all base game dungeons, the wait time between runs is typically around 5 to 10 minutes, which gives you plenty of opportunity to run a few more dolmans and earn additional XP. Moreover, completing a dungeon for the first time grants a significant chunk of XP, making it a valuable part of your leveling strategy.

Completing your daily dungeon is a highly efficient strategy for leveling from 1 to 50, as it provides a significant boost to your experience points. While it may be tempting to skip dungeons you've already completed on a character, especially if the associated quest XP is unavailable, prioritizing your daily dungeon can make a notable difference in your progression. Missing out on quest XP can be frustrating, but the consistent rewards from daily dungeons often outweigh the drawbacks. For optimal results, ensure you complete at least one daily dungeon per character during the leveling process.

Companion's Help

If you unlock Companions on your low-level character, they can be beneficial. You'll need to complete the Companion's initial quest, which may be challenging due to low DPS, but once you have a fully geared level 20 Companion, they can help you tag enemies and improve your overall DPS.

Final Thoughts

It's best to avoid using arenas for leveling, as they tend to be slow and difficult. Instead, focus on methods that reward lower DPS gameplay, such as dolmans. This video is designed for newcomers or those looking to speed up their leveling process. You can level up passively and reach level 50 with minimal effort.

There are also unconventional methods, like prioritizing crafting skills and using master writs, which some players have successfully utilized to reach level 50 in about an hour. However, the recommended methods in this guide are straightforward and satisfying, ensuring that the process won't feel tedious, especially if you haven't done dolmans repeatedly.
