Looking for the best Aion 2 starter macros? Whether you're playing Gladiator, Templar, Ranger, Assassin, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric, or Chanter, a good macro can significantly improve your leveling experience. This guide covers the macro system and provides recommended leveling macros for all eight classes, helping you reach level 45 faster without relying on complex Stigma setups or endgame-specific builds. To spend less time farming currency and more time mastering your class, you can buy Aion 2 Kina to support your leveling progress.

⚙️ What Is the Macro System in Aion 2?

Aion 2's built-in macro system cycles through configured skill groups while you hold a button. Your builder is your basic attack, which restores mana; spenders consume mana to deal damage. You still control targeting, positioning, and situational abilities.

🖱️ How Do Macros Work? Set Up in 4 Steps?

Each vertical skill column has its own priority. The macro adds a second priority layer, choosing between the columns you include. This is a priority-based setup, not a fixed top-to-bottom rotation.

Step

What to Do

1. Place skills

Click an ability, then its destination slot. Stack related attacks vertically; do not drag them.

2. Set priority

Bottom = highest priority; top = lowest. Put important attacks lower in the column.

3. Build the macro

Open Macro, add your skill columns, and arrange their priority.

4. Bind a button

Open Options → Keybindings and assign the macro to a comfortable button, such as right-click.

The macro button starts unbound, so assign it before testing. Placing skills on your bar alone will not activate the macro.

During combat, hold the macro and light attack together. With light attack on left click and the macro on right click, hold both mouse buttons. Light attacks rebuild mana and weave into animation-cancel windows; a black afterimage indicates a successful cancel.

Leave long-cooldown Stigmas outside your initial macro so they do not activate on disposable enemies.

⏱️ What Delay Should You Use for Macros?

Start with 10 milliseconds (10 ms) between macro inputs. Leave the default unchanged for early leveling. You can set 100–150 ms for later, skill-dependent adjustments—not as a universal improvement.

When refining the setup, test on a training dummy. Watch for attacks firing too early or too late, adjust the relevant delay, then test again.

⚔️ Best Starter Macro Priorities for All 8 Classes

1. Spiritmaster: Separate Summons from Spenders

Macro setup: Separate pet summons and damage spenders into two stacks. Cycle through pets for their buffs, and prioritize Elemental Fusion in the damage stack when it becomes available.

Keep manual: Souls Cry. Save its 45-second cooldown for elites, durable enemies, or planned burst targets rather than nearly defeated quest mobs.

2. Templar: Prioritize Judgment

Macro priority: Judgment is the core skill to prioritize in your damage setup.

Keep manual: Shield Rush → Annihilate, your pull skill, and Punishment. Bind the conditional Shield Rush chain to a separate key and use it against elites or bosses when available.

How to use: Check target distance before using your 15-second pull. For Punishment, select a target, hold through three charge stages, then release. Charging locks you in place, so choose a moment when you do not need to dodge.

3. Chanter: Build Around Dark Crush

Macro priority: Build your core damage setup around Dark Crush.

Keep manual: Rushing Smash, your 15-second dash.

How to use: Select your next target, activate Rushing Smash to close the gap, then continue with basic attack + macro. Use the dash regularly between enemies while keeping control over when you enter melee range.

4. Sorcerer: Plan Your Hellfire Window

Macro setup: Use a cooldown-skill macro and a separate basic-spender macro, with basic attack available alongside them for mana recovery.

Key timing: Group enemies before casting Hellfire, then cycle through your other attacks. Once the relevant upgrade is unlocked, Firestorm helps reduce Hellfire's cooldown.

Positioning: Hellfire initially keeps you stationary while channeling. Choose your casting position first, and unlock its mobile-skill upgrade when available.

5. Cleric: Apply Your Mark Before Follow-Up Damage

Damage loop: Work through Chains of Torment, apply your mark, and continue with follow-up damage.

Keep manual: Divine Aura, your charged bolt attack, and healing or cleansing skills.

How to use: Place Divine Aura where you expect to remain in combat. Gather enemies before charging the bolt, and use healing or cleansing when needed rather than leaving those decisions to your damage loop.

6. Ranger: Start with Three Core Skills

Core macro skills: Drill Dart, Gale Arrow, and Burst Arrow.

Optional additions: Snare Shot and Explosion Trap for pack clearing. Include the trap only when its automatic movement feels comfortable.

Keep manual: Marking Shot and Deadshot. Marking Shot also moves your character; charge Deadshot deliberately against a durable single target.

Activation check: Burst Arrow requires a slowed or rooted target. Snare Shot can apply Slow, so use it manually when it is not included in your macro.

7. Gladiator: Keep the Damage Loop Small

Macro skills: Overhead Slam and Rending Blow. Keep Keen Strike separate as your builder.

Keep manual: Leaping Slam, Crushing Wave, Rush Strike, and Ruinous Blow.

How to use: Close the gap manually, then hold Keen Strike + macro. Charge Ruinous Blow when you have an opening against a sturdy single target.

Watch for additional Overhead Slam procs against enemies immune to incapacitation.

8. Assassin: Keep Savage Roar Last

Macro skills: Insignia Explosion, Heart Gore, and Savage Roar, with Savage Roar last. Use basic attacks alongside the macro while building insignia stacks.

Keep manual: Shadow Step, Shadow Strike, and Flash Slice.

How to use: Enable back-attack indicators, move behind your target, and maintain your damage loop. Keep a movement option available for escape instead of using every gap closer automatically. Later Stigma target: Elusive Clone.

💥 Handle Stagger Windows Manually

Keep your class's stagger-punish skill on a separate key. Watch the meter beneath enemy health: blue means the target is not yet staggered; when it turns purple, repeatedly use your punish skill.

Once that window ends, resume macro + light attack. Practice this switch instead of holding the same damage loop through every combat state.
