    What is the RuneFest?

RuneFest is the name of the annual convention, and Jagex runs real-world event for RuneScape players. The first annual convention is RuneFest 2010. It was held on 28 August 2010 in London, United Kingdom.

Mark Gerhard also known as Mod MMG, was the CEO of Jagex said the follow regarding RuneFest in his Clan Chat on April 11th, 2010:

“Runescape nation was the project name for RuneFest. No RuneFest will go international afterwards, the 1st will be in England. Yeah it will go on tour. I can’t say too much about RuneFest though as the will club be to death with my own shoes if I do. There will be official comments on RuneFest to follow shortly I am sure.”

RuneFest 2017 will be the 7th annual convention, and it will be held at the same venue as the previous annual event: Battersea Evolution (Battersea Park, London SW11 4NJ)

    Exclusive Reveal

It is the very best place to find out what’s coming from Jagex in 2017 and 2018.

Its two stages will be packed with exclusive reveal from RuneScape: Old School and more.

What would you like to see the focus of 2017 and 2018?

PvP? End-game content? New skills? Reworks? Quest Storylines?

2017 is the year of the desert. Jadex is going to release Menaphos.

    - Some players guess they will continue the Zaros storyline, and plan for the next skill on RuneFest.

    - Some players would like to see a focus on 3 things in 2017: PvM, Reworks and Quests, with the idea of focusing on building foundations for the future. Create new quests, rework the content and develop a new slayer dungeon with a boss or two.

Then go into 2018, develop high end content, build up the PvP with new mini games and create modes.

    - Some players would like to see Jagex focus on aligning rewards with how the game is designed to be played.

Virtually every mini game is fun when Jagex plays it internally, but when it goes in the game, players realize they can obtain better or faster rewards with less effort, so they collude to rig games, and effectively suck the fun out of all of them.

    - Some players want to have a safe, rewarding, unbeatable PvP Arena, and an alternative way to make PvP. Develop their characters and earn rewards.

If you have ever looked back with fond memories on epic battles in Castle Wars, Clan Wars, even Trouble Brewing, then this is a way to bring those days back.
