  • Overwatch's New Sniper Hero - Ana is Coming Soon

    By John Ryan2016-07-15

Overwatch's new sniper hero (the 22nd hero) is coming, a support hero who uses her sniper rifle to heal her allies, Blizzard has revealed: "battle-scarred veteran who supports her teammates from a distance using a unique and highly specialized collection of weapons."

Ana’s versatile arsenal allows her to affect heroes all over the battlefield. Her Biotic Rifle rounds, Biotic Grenades heal allies, and damage or impair enemies, her sidearm tranquilizes key targets, and Nano Boost gives one of her comrades a considerable increase in power. Widowmaker and Hanzo aren’t the only snipers anymore.

The scoped weapon is a multifunctional support tool, with any shots fired restoring the health of allies but dealing damage over time to enemies. Widowmaker is the first hero to tote a scoped weapon on the battlefield, Ana is the second.

Here Mmogah will show Ana's ability to all overwatch's fans.

    Biotic Rifle

Ana's primary weapon is Biotic Rifle. It is primarily used to fire long-range darts that can heal her allies from a distance, but is also capable of dealing out damage to her foes. She can use the rifle’s scope to zoom in on the targets and make highly accurate shots.

    Sleep Dart

Ana is also capable of firing a Sleep Dart from her sidearm, which functions similarly to McCree's flash-bang. She can knock out enemies unconscious for a brief period.

    Biotic Grenade

She is equipped with a Biotic Grenade. The functionality is similar to her Rifle: heal teammates and deal out damage to enemies in its small area of effect. The Grenade gives her allies a buff that boosts all incoming healing for a few minutes, and prevents enemies from being healed, which is the bad news for opposing Roadhog and Soldier: 76 players.

    Nano Boost

The ultimate ability allows her to buff a friendly player's health, resistance, speed, and damage for a limited time.

After Ana hits one of her allies with a combat boost, he/she moves faster, increases damage, and improves resistance to incoming attacks.

Ana is constantly active. She can shoot anybody, after all, while occasionally dropping grenades right in the middle of skirmishes. Unlike Widowmaker, Ana can afford to fire a bit more indiscriminately. Ana lacks the mobility of fellow sniper Widowmaker, who uses a grappling claw to reach elevated positions. That falls in line with the new hero's healing limitations, since she need to move around more to keep allies in view. Now, you should focus fire on friends who need heals and buffs.

When you’re firing off shots, you need to pay close attention to sound effects. As an ally’s health gets closer to topping off, the sound effect changes markedly. It’s super useful!
