     1. Uprising Seasonal Event

"I fought to survive, and I’m willing to fight for the world, too."

The latest Uprising Seasonal Event has been running for almost a month across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC since early April.

It has released a new patch (Overwatch 2.12 update patch) to re-enabled Uprising Loot Boxes as well as the ability to unlock Overwatch Uprising themed cosmetics with credits on all platforms, but it will take a few hours to complete.

The big event: Overwatch Uprising will formally conclude in all regions on all platforms on May 2nd at 5pm PDT.

The Uprising is the newest game mode added to Overwatch. It can be found within the Arcade.

The Uprising event adds in a new PvE event. The event brings new skins, sprays and other character items to the game. One of the biggest tips for this mode is that you should not hoard your ultimate skills, and they will recharge rapidly in Uprising, so use them more often, as they are useful to clear out the bigger robots.

In Uprising game mode, you have to activate three terminals before charging up the Payload, and then guide to the finish line.

The Uprising focus on Overwatch lore and its progression across a full map.

    2. Overwatch features a free-to-play game in China, and it is available during May

Blizzard Entertainment announced that they have been hosting a free-to-play event for Overwatch in China. The official Chinese Blizzard website stated that the trial is available during May, along with some new game details.
All 14 maps and 24 heroes in Overwatch are available throughout the duration of the event. Players are able to level up, unlock items, and even keep their progression after purchasing the game. However, Competitive Play is locked during the event.

Some Overwatch fans hoped that the trial of free-to-play would make its way to the Western region, but Blizzard’s Bill Warnecke Leader stated that it would not happen.

    3. Big Presence in Esports

Blizzard will expand Overwatch’s presence in esports later this year, with the launch of the Overwatch league and the Overwatch World Cup. Competitive Mode is your gateway to a new world of Overwatch esports competition. Whether you want to compete on the global stage or just want to learn tips from watching the experts, Overwatch esports has something for players of all levels, expressed in two major competitions: Overwatch League and the Overwatch World Cup.

Overwatch League represents the first big step in Blizzard's esports efforts. Just like other traditional professional sports association, this competitive gaming organization will result in the creation of many Overwatch team based in various cities. More importantly, Blizzard's esport effort can keep fans' interest for their first person shooter game - Overwatch.

Aside from that, Blizzard will keep players come back with new maps and characters. Currently, Overwatch has six new maps in development, three maps for competitive/quick play, and the others for events or brawls. Blizzard is planning to release three new maps in 2017.
