  • Overwatch Anniversary Event Is Coming on May 24th

From the newest video and latest PTR (Public Test Region) patch, a huge update is coming and it’s going to be part of the big Overwatch anniversary event.

The first anniversary of Overwatch is coming on May 24th, and it seems like that Blizzard would celebrate that milestone with something in the game.

Here MmoGah as one of the best overwatch boosters would like to share this good news with overwatch fans.

A new Overwatch Aniversary Event leak has arrived, apparently confirming the next hero being added to the roster.

Doomfist is the obvious one, and other reports suggest that Doomfist will be followed by two new heroes named Bria and Ivon.

“Oh man. They say he could level a skyscraper”.

The moniker of "Doomfist" has been carried by at least three individuals, referred to as "the Savior," "the Scourge," and "the Successor" respectively.

Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan said that Doomfist would be worth to wait.

“It’s awesome seeing the amount of excitement for Doomfist. And Doomfist is an interesting character, because he was in the announcement cinematic, so you can see the gauntlet there and I think it immediately seeded players’ imaginations.

Obviously in Numbani we made a lot of references to Doomfist, and as we have introduced Orisa, her backstory is heavily tied to Doomfist, so he is a character with high expectations from the community. I think when the time is right for people to learn more about Doomfist, they’ll be pleased.”

Doomfist will be a character that can be used to counter Reinhardt and Roadhog. It means that Doomfist will likely be a powerful offensive hero.

Bria is reportedly one of the smallest characters in the game and will apparently be able to lock off a section of the map in order to assist her team. However, she can’t lock down multiple areas at once. These sorts of abilities are very important in Control game.

Ivon appears to be a tall and thin elderly man wearing a red business suit, who will be in the Defense category of the heroes. He’s apparently in the concept of early stages, so we won’t see much about him for a good while.

Overwatch currently has a patch that in the PTR just in time for the anniversary. This includes changes to the Shimada Brothers’ climbing and more balancing with Hanzo, Orisa, Reinhardt and Soldier 76. Blizzard said:

Hanzo – "Decreasing Hanzo’s draw time gives him more overall DPS, while also letting him fully charge an arrow and more quickly return to full movement speed when needed. And, like the change to Genji’s wall climbing, this is a quality of life change that will make climbing feel better."

Orisa - "To help Orisa maintain the front line for her team, we’re reducing the cooldown of her Protective Barrier. This change also helps her reposition the barrier more easily when needed. To compensate for this new defensive strength, we're reducing her Fusion Driver's damage, as it felt too high."

Reinhardt -"Earthshatter tended to climb unexpectedly high, frequently hitting targets that were significantly above the ground. These changes help the ability stay more grounded."

Soldier: 76 - "He is in a much better place lately, but his damage output was making him a must pick, compared to similar roles."

Overwatch has done particularly well during events in game, such as the recent Uprising update.

With Blizzard making money hand over fist through Overwatch, fans are guaranteed lots of juicy events for the foreseeable future.

Players should get ready for the release of some new hints coming from Blizzard later this month, and they can buy Overwatch boost to reach a high level from a reliable site.
