If you want to level Valeera from 60 to 80 as quickly as possible, the Ring of Glory Delve farm is currently one of the most efficient methods available in WoW Midnight Season 2. With the right setup, you can reach level 80 in roughly 3 hours without killing a single enemy.
The method revolves around repeatedly collecting Mislaid Curiosities inside a Tier 11 Ring of Glory Delve. Because of the Dundun’s Favor utility curio, you can automatically collect them while mounted, allowing you to focus entirely on movement and efficiency. Requirements
Before starting the farm, make sure you have the following:
1. Ring of Glory Delve
The recommended Delve is Ring of Glory, preferably with the Open Night story variant. Other Ring of Glory story variants can also work, but Open Night is currently the most efficient option.
Another Delve choice is the Grudge Pit in Harandar. This method works particularly well with a stealth class. However, Ring of Glory is generally faster because you can mount up and move around much more efficiently. Grudge Pit prevents you from mounting inside, which makes movement considerably slower.
2. Unlock Tier 11 Delves
You only need to complete a Tier 10 Delve with lives remaining to unlock Tier 11. You do not need to complete a Tier 11 Delve unless you are specifically pursuing the associated achievement.
3. Dundun’s Favor
You need the utility curio Dundun’s Favor. It can drop from Delves of different tiers and variants, and its rank does not matter. Rank 1 is sufficient for this farming method. Dundun’s Favor allows Mislaid Curiosities to be automatically collected simply by running over them, eliminating the need to stop and interact with each one.
How the Valeera Leveling Farm Works
Once everything is ready, the process is extremely straightforward:
- Enter a Tier 11 Ring of Glory Delve using the Open Night story variant.
- Mount up immediately, run around the Delve and look for Mislaid Curiosities.
- Run directly over each curiosity to automatically collect it with Dundun’s Favor.
- Collect around 9–10 curiosities and leave the Delve.
- Re-enter and repeat the process.
You do not need to complete the Delve, and you do not need to kill any monsters. Delves do not have an instance lockout for this method, so you can repeatedly reset the Delve and continue farming. The reason Tier 11 is recommended is simple: since you are not killing anything, there is virtually no downside to increasing the Delve difficulty. Tier 11 provides slightly more experience from each Mislaid Curiosity, making it the best choice for maximizing Valeera's experience per hour.
Use Loot Raid-R Mini to Find Curiosities Faster
If you have access to Loot Raid-R Mini, it can make this farm considerably easier. Loot Raid-R Mini highlights the locations of relevant targets, making Mislaid Curiosities much easier to spot while running around the Delve. You may obtain Loot Raid-R Mini from:
- Delve end-of-run reward chests
- Previous expansions, if you still have unused copies
- The Delve vendor in Silvermoon City
However, purchasing them from the vendor is generally not recommended because the coins can be saved for other rewards. Before starting the farm, check your Warband Bank and individual character banks for any Loot Raid-R Mini items you already own.
One important detail: the targets remain visible after a curiosity has already been collected. Remember which locations you have already looted so you do not waste time checking the same spots repeatedly.
Tracking Valeera's Experience
You can display Valeera's progression as an experience bar at the top of your screen. Open your character information panel and go to Reputations. Find Valeera Sanguinar, then enable Show as Experience Bar. The bar will appear wherever you have positioned it in Edit Mode.
In Edit Mode, make sure Status Bar 1 is enabled if you want it displayed there. This makes it much easier to monitor your progress while repeatedly farming Delves.
Leaving the Delve Quickly
A macro can be used to leave the Delve and speed up the reset process. However, the macro can be unreliable while you are in combat. It generally works much more consistently when you are out of combat. If you become stuck in combat, the fastest options are usually:
- Run out of the Delve manually.
- Allow your character to die and reset.
- Avoid wasting time trying to force the macro to work.
Since the entire strategy is based on avoiding combat, getting out and starting the next run is more efficient than fighting your way through the Delve.
Optional Min-Maxing: Combat Curio
Another useful curio is the Ouroboric Curse combat curio. It is not required, but it can make the farm considerably safer. When your health drops below roughly half, it can crowd-control nearby enemies for around 6 seconds, even if those enemies take damage during the effect. This is useful because you will occasionally accidentally aggro enemies while collecting Mislaid Curiosities. The important rule is that do not waste time killing them. Valeera gains experience much more efficiently from rapidly collecting Mislaid Curiosities than from fighting monsters. The less time spent in combat, the better your experience per hour will be.
The Best Class for the Valeera Farm
A tank specialization is highly recommended because it makes movement through enemy-packed areas much easier. The best overall option is arguably Guardian Druid because of Travel Form. If enemies start attacking you, you can temporarily use Bear Form and Frenzied Regeneration to survive, then return to Travel Form and continue collecting curiosities.
Other Good Choices
Paladin and Death Knight are also strong choices because they have abilities that improve mounted movement speed:
- Paladins can benefit from Crusader Aura.
- Death Knights can use On a Pale Horse.
Tank specializations also have an important advantage: they cannot be automatically dismounted by daze effects. DPS and healer specializations have a high chance of being dazed when attacked by enemies, which can automatically dismount them. Tanks can still be dazed, but they will not be forcibly dismounted.
If You Don't Have a Tank Specialization
You can purchase Comfortable Rider's Barding from the Auction House and equip it in your mount equipment slot. This makes you immune to daze effects while mounted regardless of your specialization. You can also use Light-Step Hoofplates to increase mounted movement speed by 20%. This is particularly useful if you are not playing Paladin or Death Knight.
Valeera Progression Is Warband-Wide
Valeera's level progression is Warband-wide, so you do not have to perform the farm on a specific character. You can use whichever character is best equipped for the job. For maximum efficiency, a well-geared tank is recommended because the character will spend most of the time moving through areas filled with enemies rather than fighting them.
One important detail is that your curios need to be set up again on each character. Curio setups reset every season, so remember to configure them whenever you switch characters.
Prepare Valeera for the Season 2 Nemesis Boss
This leveling method is especially useful for players preparing for the Nemesis Boss content. The hard-mode version of the new Nemesis Boss is scheduled to arrive on August 18. Players pursuing the Fabled Let Me Solo Him: Azta'rec achievement will want Valeera at level 80 before then. The normal version of the Nemesis Boss is already available, so players can begin practicing the encounter ahead of the harder version.
If you defeat Azta'rec on the highest difficulty during the first week of its release, you can earn the Fabled Vanquisher of Azta'rec title. Unlike Season 1, the title is no longer limited to the first 4,000 players in each region. Instead, everyone who defeats the boss during the first week can receive the title. The Fabled Vanquisher title is tied specifically to the ?? difficulty Nemesis Boss, which becomes available during the second week of Midnight Season 2 and marks the official start of Season 2.
