Diablo 4 Season 14: New Cube Crafting Trick to Guarantee All Skills and All Resistances

Season 14 introduces a subtle but extremely impactful change to Diablo 4’s crafting system—one that significantly improves how players optimize their gear. This update revolves around the cube and tuning prisms, allowing players to reliably obtain powerful stats like +All Skills on amulets and All Resistances on gear. Previously, these affixes were difficult, expensive, and often frustrating to roll. Now, with the right method, they can be acquired consistently. This method is shared by wudijo on his YouTube channel.

Diablo 4 Season 14: New Cube Crafting Trick to Guarantee All Skills and All Resistances

A Major Change to All Skills on Amulets

Before Season 14, rolling +All Skills on an amulet was highly unreliable. The stat wasn’t part of any prism category, meaning the only way to obtain it was through random enchanting. This process was extremely costly, often requiring billions of Diablo 4 gold due to its low probability—roughly a 1-in-100 chance. Even then, players still had to win a 50/50 outcome to get +2 ranks, making the effort inefficient for most builds.

Despite the difficulty, +All Skills has always been a powerful stat, especially for builds that benefit from multiple skill categories. For example, a Rogue using Poison Penetrating Shot can gain bonuses across imbued skills, core abilities, and defensive layers like Dark Shroud. This creates a “double or triple dip” effect, making the stat far more valuable than a single-category boost.

How the New Cube Strategy Works

With the Season 14 changes, obtaining +All Skills is now straightforward and repeatable. The process relies on using the Adept’s Tuning Prism in a specific way:

  • Apply the Adept’s Tuning Prism three times to an amulet.
  • The first two applications will roll from available categories (main stat or skill categories).
  • On the third application, the system is forced to roll +All Skills, since no other valid option remains.

Even though the stat has a low weight, the cube is effectively forced into assigning it due to the limited pool of outcomes. If the result rolls low (e.g., +1 All Skills), you can use Focus Reroll to improve the value and continue rerolling until +2 is achieved.

A new cube update also allows stats to roll into themselves. Previously, if a stat like Dexterity appeared, it would block itself from rerolling unless removed first. Now, it can reroll into a different value of the same stat, making the process smoother and more efficient.

Refining Your Amulet While Preserving All Skills

Once +All Skills is obtained, the next step is optimizing the rest of the affixes. Most endgame amulets aim for combinations such as Damage over Time Multiplier, Critical Strike Multiplier, Vulnerable Damage and Critical Chance. The goal is to retain +All Skills while removing unwanted stats. This is done through a remove-and-reapply process:

  • Use removal mechanics carefully to eliminate unwanted affixes.
  • Each removal has a probability (often 50/50 or better) of preserving +All Skills.
  • Repeat the process until only desired stats remain.

Statistically, this method is quite consistent. For example:

  • First removal: ~66% chance to keep +All Skills
  • Second removal: ~50% chance
  • Repeat until successful

Protecting Greater Affixes (GA) During Crafting

This method also works exceptionally well with Greater Affix (GA) items, which are highly valuable in endgame builds. If your amulet already has a desirable GA (such as Damage over Time Multiplier), you can:

  • Lock the GA stat using the enchanter (by selecting “No Change” after enchanting it).
  • This prevents the cube from modifying that specific stat.
  • Continue rolling and removing other affixes safely.

This ensures that your most valuable stat remains untouched while you build around it.

The All Resistances Trick

Another important Season 14 update applies the same principle to resistances.

Previously:

  • Resistance prisms only granted single resistances (Fire, Cold, Lightning, etc.).
  • These were generally weak and undesirable in endgame builds.
  • All Resistances was rare and difficult to obtain.

Now:

  • Resistance prisms can roll All Resistances.
  • The same forced-roll logic applies.

How to Get All Resistances:

1. Apply a resistance prism.

2. If it rolls a single resistance, apply another.

3. Once a single resistance is present, the next roll is forced into All Resistances.

4. Use removal mechanics (50/50 chance) to isolate and keep All Resistances.

This makes it significantly easier to achieve defensive optimization, especially in late-game builds where survivability becomes critical.

Why This Matters for Season 14 Builds

These changes fundamentally improve the crafting experience:

  • Consistency: Key stats like +All Skills and All Resistances are now reliably obtainable.
  • Efficiency: No more wasting massive amounts of gold on low-probability rolls.
  • Flexibility: Builds that benefit from multiple skill categories gain even more value.
  • Accessibility: Even mid-tier players can now craft near endgame-quality items.

In particular, +All Skills amulets are expected to become far more common and viable, opening up new optimization paths for many builds that previously ignored the stat due to its rarity.

Final Thoughts

Season 14’s cube adjustments may appear minor at first glance, but they have a major impact on gearing strategies. The ability to reliably craft +All Skills and All Resistances transforms both offensive and defensive itemization. Players looking to push endgame content should take full advantage of this system. With a bit of patience and the correct approach, crafting high-quality gear is now more achievable than ever before.
